Anti-Tesla regulation: Yesterday, the U.S. state of New Jersey passed a regulation that is prohibiting any vehicle manufacturer selling cars directly to consumers. The regulation is backed by the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers in fear of “Tesla crushing competition.” Tesla Motors, which is the only company with a direct-retail strategy, is also banned from direct sales in Arizona and Texas.

EV incentive scrapped: The proposed cut of Georgia’s 5,000-dollars rebate and 2,500-dollars tax credit for low-emission vehicles (we reported) has now become a bill. According to representative Chuck Martin, EV prices are dropping and sales no longer need to be incentivised. The bill is now on the table of the state senate for confirmation.
