A new Roadster by 2017? Auto Bild’s Hauke Schrieber is quoting Tesla’s chief designer Franz von Holzhausen who said the company is planning a Model R. The new car would sit on the Model 3 platform and be designed to “show what Tesla is capable of,” according to Holzhausen.

Mahindra quick charging: The Indian manufacturer now offers quick charging for its E2O with a feature called Quick2Charge. If the new variant comes to market, the E2O will cost 45,000 rupees (about 735 dollars) more in India. The export version will have Quick2Charge as standard.
