Research tip: 16 percent of all new cars would need to be electric by 2020 for fleets to comply with emission regulations in Europe, the U.S. and China, according to the UN’s World Energy Council. The WEC refers to the EV Gap as all three major markets are yet behind their self-imposed targets.
