ChargePoint raises 100m dollar in funding to expand to Europe and most of the money came from Daimler and BMW. The two German carmakers led this latest round of financing, which saw the American infrastructure provider’s total funding increase to 255m dollars. It will be used to install its EV charging network in Europe, with chargers along highways but also at homes or workplaces. Axel Harries, head of Daimler’s think tank CASE, now sits on the Board of Directors at ChargePoint.

Clever, customised, City Hub: DHL customised an electric cargo bike and build a whole delivery concept around it. Called the Cubicycle the four-wheel pedelec can carry a container with a load of up to 125 kg. The container itself is part of the City Hub, a customised trailer that can carry up to four of such boxes. A DHL van tows the trailer into the city center, where the containers can be transferred onto two Cubicyles for last mile inner city delivery.

Electric terminal truck order: Rail Management Services has placed an order for nine T-Series battery-electric terminal trucks from Orange EV. They will join onsite fleets to supplement and replace RMS’ diesel trucks. Five will be deployed in Chicago, while four trucks will be utilised at rail sites in New York.
