More affordable EVs come from Mahindra as the Indian carmaker plans to build three to four electric models costing less than 1m rupees, about 14,000 euros. Mahindra reasons that in order for EVs to help clean the air they need to be “mass affordable” and not a luxury niche segment or even SUVs, which the firm sees as “image” rather than breadwinner.
