Citroën reveals prices for Ami & Ami Buggy
Both the updated Ami and the new Buggy version will be available to order in Europe from May 6 onwards, with deliveries set to begin in August.
The new Ami features a range of 75km with a 4 hour recharge time via AC and comes in three new colour packs (‘Spicy’, ‘Icy’, and ‘Minty’). In France, the vehicle can be driven from the age of 14 without a full driving licence, but in the UK and elsewhere, it requires an AM moped licence (which 16-year-olds and up can obtain) or a full driving licence.
Citroën is also expanding its micromobility offering with the new ‘Buggy’ version of the Ami. With no doors or roof, it is primarily designed for outdoor leisure use (it uses ‘black metal hoops mounted on hinges’ instead of doors). Customers will, however, be able to buy zipped door covers as an additional extra which can be rolled up and stored when not in use. The sunroof meanwhile features a soft top. Unlike the standard Ami, it has a black spoiler and 14″ steel alloys with a gold finish.
Both vehicles come with a range of interior equipment including 3 storage boxes, 1 bag hook, 2 floor flats, 2 door mats, 1 central partition net, a smartphone holder and a ‘My Connect Box’ to hook up devices to the vehicle. It’s available in a ‘Palmeira’ yellow colour pack.
Citroën is also offering a modular cargo kit to simplify the expansion of storage space. It can separate the driver and passenger areas as well as creating a loading surface from the passenger seat, which Citroën states adds up to 340 litres of storage for things like parcel deliveries. Again, this can be folded up and stored when it’s not required – restoring access to the both seats.
