Leapmotor doubles sales in 2025
In December, Leapmotor delivered 60,423 vehicles, representing a 42.1% increase compared with the same month the previous year—significantly lower growth than for the full year 2025. In fact, December was ‘only’ the fourth-best month of the year and the weakest in the fourth quarter, as both October and November saw deliveries exceed 70,000 vehicles.
Nevertheless, with 201,039 vehicles delivered, the quarter set a new record. Leapmotor increased its sales by 15.6% compared with Q3 and by 66.4% compared with Q4 2024. More than a third of the year’s total sales were delivered in the final quarter alone. Just two years earlier, in 2023, Leapmotor’s total annual sales amounted to 144,000 vehicles—a figure surpassed in just one quarter by 2025.
In Europe, Leapmotor is primarily known for its small car T03, the manufacturer’s first model, which was briefly producido in Poland. However, in China, the Stellantis partner has significantly expanded its model range and has since introduced some of its vehicles to Europe, including the SUV models C10 and B10. The latter is set to be produced in Spain from 2026.
Leapmotor typically offers battery-electric versions and vehicles with range extenders. However, the sales statistics do not distinguish between the two powertrain types—so it is not possible to determine exactly how many battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) or extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) the company has sold.
Leapmotor’s sales success not only prompted Stellantis to make a billion-euro investment in 2023. At the end of 2025, state-owned automaker FAW announced it would acquire a 5% stake in Leapmotor for 3.74 billion yuan (450 million euros). The two companies have collaborated for some time, and rumours of a FAW investment have circulated for years.
For the current year, Leapmotor’s management expects further growth but not another doubling of sales. The target for 2026 is one million vehicles, with the company aiming to reach four million vehicles sold annually within the next decade. As sales increase, so does revenue. In an internal memo dated 24 December 2025, Leapmotor founder and CEO Zhu Jiangming indicated that the company is expected to achieve profitability in 2025.
