La start-up alemana de taxis de aeropuerto Volocopter ha conseguido 50 millones de euros en una nueva ronda de financiaci\u00f3n liderada por el grupo chino Geely. Los nuevos fondos se utilizar\u00e1n para llevar la aeronave el\u00e9ctrica de Volocopter al lanzamiento comercial en los pr\u00f3ximos tres a\u00f1os. <\/p>\n
Con el fin de llevar el concepto de movilidad a\u00e9rea urbana a China, Geely y Volocopter tambi\u00e9n quieren crear una empresa conjunta, de la que las dos empresas fundadoras planean seguir siendo conjuntamente los mayores accionistas.<\/p>\n
Volocopter ha desarrollado los taxis a\u00e9reos el\u00e9ctricos que despegan y aterrizan verticalmente (eVTOL) basados en la tecnolog\u00eda de los drones y transportan a dos personas. El mes pasado, Volocopter revel\u00f3 el dise\u00f1o de su \u00faltimo modelo VoloCity<\/a>, que es la cuarta generaci\u00f3n del VTOL el\u00e9ctrico de la empresa alemana - y la base del servicio de taxi a\u00e9reo previsto por Volocopter. El primer cierre aumentar\u00e1 el capital total que Volocopter ha reunido a 85 millones de euros.<\/p>\n Esta ronda de financiaci\u00f3n C ha sido liderada por la empresa automovil\u00edstica privada china Geely Holding, que ahora puede presumir de contar con una considerable cartera de marcas mundiales como Geely Auto, Volvo Cars y Lotus, entre otras. The launch will see the partners demonstrate passenger areas and process the prototype of a mobile Volo port<\/a>. The ports are a large part of the final design of the VTOL as they enable quick and repeated battery swaps. Volocopter aims to exchange the batteries at every stop within three minutes.<\/p>\n The German company is also trialling their aircraft at airports and recently announced its intention to cooperate with Frankfurt Airport<\/a>. In late August, Volocopter performed a piloted flight at Helsinki International Airport with the airport’s air traffic management system, showing that the air taxis are compatible with existing solutions. Towards the end of October this year, the Urban Air Mobility pioneer will present its VoloPort air taxi landing infrastructure at the ITS WC in Singapore<\/a>.<\/p>\n
