La entrega est\u00e1 prevista entre septiembre de 2020 y agosto de 2022.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Un total de 80 AGV (veh\u00edculos de guiado autom\u00e1tico) ser\u00e1n fabricados por VDL Automated Vehicles y se utilizar\u00e1n para transportar contenedores de barcos pesados en la terminal portuaria. Est\u00e1 previsto que los AGV entren en servicio en Singapur en 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Los cargadores de ABB y la infraestructura de apoyo para los veh\u00edculos aut\u00f3nomos deber\u00edan estar ya instalados a finales de 2020. ABB ha sido contratada para suministrar cargadores r\u00e1pidos de 450 kW, el desarrollo y suministro de soluciones de contenedores prefabricados con cargadores integrados, aparamenta de media y baja tensi\u00f3n, transformadores y los equipos de control y supervisi\u00f3n asociados. The future annual capacity of the huge industrial port is estimated at 65 million containers. The first berth is scheduled to go into operation in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The 80 AGV&#8217;s provided by the VDL subsidiary VDL Automated Vehicles are 15 metres long and 2 metre high models have a lifting weight of up to 65 tonnes and a maximum speed of 25 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>According to VDL, the order volume amounts to &#8220;several tens of millions of euros&#8221;. In 2015, the company delivered two prototypes to Singapore \u2013 apparently to the complete satisfaction of port operator, PSA. VDL Automated Vehicles has already gained a great deal of experience in the field: The Dutch company have already delivered similar vehicles in Europe \u2013 to ECT in Rotterdam in the Netherlands and to BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany among others.<\/p>\n<p>In Germany, too, electric AGVs are regarded as a desirable transport solution in port logistics: Just a few weeks ago, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) took delivery of the first series-produced container transporter with a lithium-ion battery at the Altenwerder container terminal. The port operator intends to handle the logistics there completely with electric vehicles by the beginning of the next decade. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/02\/06\/fresh-project-hamburg-testing-grid-stabilizers\/\">26.5-ton AGVs planned for Hamburg<\/a> will be manufactured by the Finnish machine specialist Konecranes.
