En un mercado en el que se prefieren los veh\u00edculos de largo alcance y con tracci\u00f3n total, el entorno de ventas para el coche el\u00e9ctrico se presenta dif\u00edcil. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\"En la actualidad no tenemos planes para llevar el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/etiqueta-2\/ix3\/\">iX3<\/a> al mercado estadounidense\", dijo un portavoz a <em>Noticias del autom\u00f3vil<\/em>. Al parecer, BMW comunic\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n a los concesionarios estadounidenses en una reuni\u00f3n celebrada en Boca Rat\u00f3n a finales de enero. But both the I-Pace and the e-tron, with 90 and 95 kWh battery capacity respectively, have significantly larger power storage capacity than the BMW which sports a 74-kWh battery and a range of around 273 miles. Although both the I-Pace and the e-tron have four-wheel drives, they are not particularly efficient: The EPA range of the I-Pace is 234 miles, that of the Audi, despite the even larger battery, 204 miles. Both vehicles are selling slowly in the USA.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the U.S. competition is growing: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/03\/03\/tesla-revs-up-preparations-for-model-y-deliveries\/\">Deliveries of the Tesla Model Y<\/a> (with four-wheel drive) will begin this month, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/11\/15\/details-leaked-ford-e-suv-mustang-mach-e\/\">Ford Mustang Mach-E will be launched<\/a> at the end of the year with an optionally available four-wheel drive. Recently Ford gave some insights into the pre-orders: In the USA three-quarters of all customers ordered the Mach-E with four-wheel drive, in the north-eastern states this was even 90 per cent. The larger battery (99 instead of 75 kWh) with an EPA range of over 300 miles is particularly popular in the southwest.
