Las c\u00e9lulas para ello seguir\u00e1n procediendo de LG Chem. El fabricante coreano de bater\u00edas tambi\u00e9n recibi\u00f3 un pr\u00e9stamo del BEI para la ampliaci\u00f3n de la planta de Polonia a lo que dicen ser\u00e1 la mayor f\u00e1brica de c\u00e9lulas de bater\u00eda del mundo.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El informe del blog coreano <em>Gur\u00fa<\/em> se refiri\u00f3 a los datos de la industria sobre los planes de Audi. En ella se afirmaba: \"Aunque no se ha anunciado ning\u00fan plan de inversi\u00f3n detallado, la empresa parece haber decidido invertir en bater\u00edas, un componente clave para ampliar la autonom\u00eda de los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos\". En la planta prevista, Audi pretende ensamblar las c\u00e9lulas suministradas en paquetes de bater\u00edas listos para instalar.<\/p>\n<p>Audi a\u00fan no ha respondido a la solicitud de comentarios. Si el fabricante de autom\u00f3viles comenta el informe sobre el montaje de bater\u00edas, presentaremos la respuesta aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que est\u00e1 claro es que LG Chem, por su parte, planea una enorme expansi\u00f3n de su producci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas de bater\u00eda en Europa a partir de los 15 GWh actuales. Para ello, el fabricante coreano ha conseguido un pr\u00e9stamo del Banco Europeo de Inversiones (BEI). El BEI prestar\u00e1 al fabricante de pilas 480 millones de euros para la ampliaci\u00f3n de sus capacidades de producci\u00f3n en Wroclaw, en el suroeste de Polonia. El proyecto respaldado por el BEI, cuyo coste total se estima en 1.500 millones de euros, aumentar\u00e1 la capacidad de producci\u00f3n anual de LG Chem en Wroclaw en m\u00e1s de 35 GWh hasta unos 65 GWh, seg\u00fan el anuncio del BEI. The battery manufacturer provided no further information in its announcement.<\/p>\n<p>LG Chem had recently purchased a former TV assembly plant of the Turkish company Vestel in Poland for this purpose. The 223,000 square meter plant is located near LG Chem&#8217;s existing battery cell production facility in Wroclaw.<\/p>\n<p>Problems during the production ramp-up at this plant have not only caused bottlenecks at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/02\/21\/audi-pauses-e-tron-production-in-brussels\/\">Audi&#8217;s e-tron plant in Brussels<\/a>, but also in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/02\/10\/lack-of-batteries-hinders-mercedes-and-halts-i-pace-production-at-jagauar\/\">Jaguar I-Pace production<\/a>. With the announced quadrupling, production would be sufficient for around 800,000 to 1,000,000 electric cars, depending on the size of the batteries installed.<\/p>\n<p>LG Chem has been a partner of Audi for many years, and the carmaker uses cells from the Korean manufacturer in many PHEV models from Ingolstadt.
