Los dos socios quieren optimizar la producci\u00f3n de grandes sistemas para poder construir centrales el\u00e9ctricas de pilas de combustible en la gama de megavatios para buques.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Las empresas conf\u00edan en la cooperaci\u00f3n entre ABB y Ballard Power Systems <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2018\/06\/27\/abb-ballard-fabrica-una-solucion-de-pila-de-combustible-de-megavatios-para-buques\/\">anunciado en junio de 2018<\/a>. Esta colaboraci\u00f3n ha dado como resultado, tal y como estaba previsto, el desarrollo de un sistema de pila de combustible de este tipo con un alcance de megavatios y que ahora se construir\u00e1 gracias a la nueva cooperaci\u00f3n entre ABB y el especialista en hidr\u00f3geno Hydrog\u00e8ne de France. La producci\u00f3n tendr\u00e1 lugar en una nueva f\u00e1brica de HDF en Burdeos.<\/p>\n<p>HDF se fund\u00f3 en 2012 y desarrolla centrales el\u00e9ctricas multimegavatio renovables que combinan energ\u00eda solar o e\u00f3lica con almacenamiento a largo plazo basado en la tecnolog\u00eda del hidr\u00f3geno. With the new solution, this is now to be extended to drives of larger ships. An image distributed Swiss-Swedish company ABB, shows a container ship with four hydrogen tanks in the hull, several fuel cells and two Azipod electric drives.<\/p>\n<p>Both ABB and Ballard are gaining momentum with hydrogen propulsion technology in the marine transport sector. Just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/04\/04\/denmark-ballard-plans-to-produce-fc-modules-for-ships\/\">one year ago<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/tag\/ballard\/\">Ballard<\/a> Power Systems Europe announced the construction of a Marine Center of Excellence at its facility in Hobro, Denmark, where fuel cell modules for ships will be developed and produced.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/05\/23\/ballard-abb-developing-fc-tugboat\/\">In May last year<\/a>, Ballard Power Systems announced its collaboration with ABB and other consortium partners in the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) project Flagships with the aim of developing a fuel cell-powered tug boat for inland waterway vessels. ABB is also collaborating with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2018\/11\/05\/abb-sintef-to-scale-up-fuel-cells-as-main-ship-drive\/\">research organisation SINTEF of Norway<\/a> to model a complete marine power system in a megawatt-scale propulsion plant.<\/p>\n<p>Other companies collaborating on fuel cell ships include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2018\/08\/15\/siemens-powercell-making-fuel-cells-for-marine-systems\/\">PowerCell of Sweden who have teamed up with Siemens<\/a>.
