El sistema funciona con un total de tres motores el\u00e9ctricos y, seg\u00fan Mazda, su principal objetivo es ser m\u00e1s ligero que los actuales sistemas el\u00e9ctricos de tracci\u00f3n a las cuatro ruedas.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ya estaba claro que Mazda est\u00e1 trabajando en el regreso del motor Wankel: el motor de pist\u00f3n rotativo se ofrecer\u00e1 pronto como extensor de autonom\u00eda en el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2019\/10\/23\/mazda-presenta-su-primera-bev\/\">SUV el\u00e9ctrico MX-30<\/a>pero en una disposici\u00f3n bastante convencional: Tanto el motor el\u00e9ctrico (en el lado del conductor) como el peque\u00f1o Wankel (en el lado del pasajero) se sit\u00faan en la parte delantera en el cl\u00e1sico compartimento del motor, el motor el\u00e9ctrico acciona \u00fanicamente las ruedas delanteras.<\/p>\n<p>La solicitud de patente del novedoso sistema h\u00edbrido es mucho menos convencional: El motor de combusti\u00f3n situado en la parte delantera puede actuar como extensor de autonom\u00eda para suministrar electricidad a un motor el\u00e9ctrico de 25 kW que impulsa las ruedas traseras. Pero, adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n puede impulsar directamente las ruedas traseras, a trav\u00e9s de una transmisi\u00f3n no especificada. Tambi\u00e9n hay dos motores el\u00e9ctricos en los cubos de las ruedas delanteras, a los que suministra energ\u00eda un supercondensador. Mazda destaca el dise\u00f1o compacto del motor Wankel como una ventaja decisiva. Sin embargo, de la propulsi\u00f3n se encargar\u00e1n principalmente los tres motores el\u00e9ctricos.<\/p>\n<p>El motor trasero, alimentado por la bater\u00eda de 3,5 kWh, con sus 25 kW deber\u00eda ser suficiente para la mayor\u00eda de las aceleraciones suaves en ciudad; en caso de mayores necesidades de potencia, entran en acci\u00f3n los motores de cubo de las dos ruedas del eje delantero. At the front axle, where higher recuperation rates are possible due to load changes, the energy is to be buffered in the supercaps so that it can be used again during the next acceleration. According to the schematic drawing from the patent application, the two energy storage units are connected to each other. Thus, when the capacitors are fully charged, further current from the braking energy recovery system can be transferred to the battery. If the capacitors are empty, the battery can also charge the capacitors inversely and thus indirectly transfer energy to the wheel hub motors.<\/p>\n<p>Supercaps are lighter than lithium-ion batteries, but cannot store the energy for as long. Nevertheless, Mazda hopes that the unusual drive layout will result in an overall weight saving compared to electric four-wheel-drive systems based on several electric motors and one large battery. In the past, Mazda has emphasised several times that large battery capacities were considered a mistake and spoke of &#8220;rightsizing&#8221; when it came to the MX-30 (with 35.5 kWh capacity).<\/p>\n<p>What remains to be seen, is how high the electric driving components really are in practice \u2013 or the driving components with recuperation energy and not with electricity generated by the combustion engine. The Japanese company also did not provide any information about the efficiency and performance of the overall system.<\/p>\n<p>According to another media report, however, the drive may be more than the engineers&#8217; pipe dreams and could be built in series production as a lighthouse project in a sports car called RX-9 (based on the previous Wankel models of the RX series).
