Para mediados de esta d\u00e9cada, GM tambi\u00e9n ha reafirmado su objetivo de alcanzar unas ventas anuales de un mill\u00f3n de coches el\u00e9ctricos en los dos mayores mercados, Norteam\u00e9rica y China.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Las presentaciones del Cadillac Lyriq totalmente el\u00e9ctrico y del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/etiqueta-2\/gmc\/\">Modelos GMC Hummer EV<\/a>, previstos inicialmente para abril y mayo respectivamente, han sido aplazados debido a la pandemia y se recuperar\u00e1n para este a\u00f1o. Estos modelos ser\u00e1n los primeros representantes de la nueva plataforma de coches el\u00e9ctricos del Grupo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/03\/05\/general-motors-revela-su-estrategia-dinamica-con-nuevas-baterias-y-plataforma\/\">presentado en marzo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Con la plataforma modular, que incluye el nuevo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/etiqueta-2\/ultium\/\">kit de bater\u00eda llamado Ultium<\/a>, General Motors pretende reducir significativamente la complejidad y ser m\u00e1s flexible en comparaci\u00f3n con los anteriores modelos con motor de combusti\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n se espera que las bater\u00edas, procedentes de una empresa conjunta con LG Chem, reduzcan los costes. Pero si hay que construir y probar prototipos o reconvertir y ajustar las instalaciones de producci\u00f3n, la cosa se complica.<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto al Hummer y al Lyriq, aunque Morris no anunci\u00f3 fechas exactas para sus estrenos, dijo que \"sin duda debutar\u00e1n este a\u00f1o, pero espero que m\u00e1s pronto que tarde\". Instead of one million electric cars, the report spoke of 320,000 internally planned e-vehicles for 2026 \u2013 for Ford and GM together.<\/p>\n<p>What Morris was considerably less specific about, were the goals for the subsidiary Cruise that is developing autonomous driving for GM. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/tag\/cruise-origin\/\">Cruise Origin<\/a> should actually be built together with the Hummer EV in Detroit-Hamtramck. Whether after the Corona crisis the demand for autonomous vehicles for ridesharing services is as high and the technology is ready seems to be an open question at the moment.<\/p>\n<h3>GM stops pedelec project<\/h3>\n<p>Despite much optimism at GM, the company does have a victim in the corona crisis with an electric drive: As the company confirmed to <em>The Verge<\/em>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/02\/14\/gm-reveals-e-bike-brand-ariv-to-launch-in-europe\/\">Ariv pedelec project<\/a> has been discontinued. Because of the pandemic, GM said that it had had to take a close look at its various business areas. &#8220;Ariv has generated significant insights about micromobility for General Motors, and we plan to use those insights to benefit future innovation,&#8221; said Brian Tossan, GM director of global innovation. The website, where customers could place orders for the well-received pedelec (pronounced &#8220;arrive&#8221;), instead directs them to GM&#8217;s website, which seems odd when cycling has become more important and experienced an even greater uptake in Covid-19 times, especially in Europe where the Ariv was targeted.<\/p>\n<p>More understandable is GM&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/tag\/Maven\/\">withdrawal from Maven<\/a> car-sharing, since all shared transport offers have suffered under the given restrictions of social distancing to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
