Al empe\u00f1o le falta a\u00fan la aprobaci\u00f3n de la UE que permitir\u00eda la financiaci\u00f3n estatal.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El peri\u00f3dico alem\u00e1n <em>Tagesspiegel Antecedentes<\/em> citaba c\u00edrculos del sector, afirmando que el fabricante de celdas Customcells va a desarrollar con Porsche celdas de bater\u00eda para la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de deportivos el\u00e9ctricos de la filial de VW. Los dos socios ya han fundado la empresa conjunta denominada Cellforce Group con este fin, y la producci\u00f3n se ubicar\u00e1 en T\u00fcbingen, al sur de Stuttgart.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto a\u00fan tiene que obtener la aprobaci\u00f3n de la UE por la que el proyecto ser\u00eda clasificado como proyecto IPCEI (Proyecto Importante de Inter\u00e9s Com\u00fan Europeo), lo que permitir\u00eda la financiaci\u00f3n estatal. Hasta ahora, el proyecto IPCEI ha financiado el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/02\/08\/la-planta-de-opel-fabricara-24-gwh-de-pilas-al-ano\/\">producci\u00f3n prevista de c\u00e9lulas de bater\u00eda<\/a> de la filial de PSA Opel en Kaiserslautern y la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/07\/30\/bmw-recibe-una-millonaria-financiacion-para-la-investigacion-de-baterias\/\">producci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas de bater\u00eda de BMW<\/a> en Parsdorf, cerca de M\u00fanich, que se anunci\u00f3 hace unas semanas. En total, el gobierno alem\u00e1n pretende invertir unos 3.000 millones de euros en diversos proyectos de pilas.<\/p>\n<p>No se extrapol\u00f3 la capacidad de producci\u00f3n de la f\u00e1brica prevista en Tubinga, sino que <em>Tagesspiegel<\/em> Seg\u00fan el peri\u00f3dico, est\u00e1 previsto fabricar \"cantidades bastante reducidas de unidades de almacenamiento de alto rendimiento con una alta densidad energ\u00e9tica y una baja resistencia interna\" para permitir tiempos de carga cortos y grandes autonom\u00edas en los coches el\u00e9ctricos premium de Porsche. In the KomVar research project, in which Customcells, P3 Automotive and the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg (ZSW) are involved, a research production facility for lithium-ion cells has already been established in T\u00fcbingen. In October 2019, Porsche said that the facilities will be able to produce different cell designs and cell technologies in large series quality despite small and medium quantities.<\/p>\n<p>Daimler was an associated partner of KomVar at that time. It is still unclear why Porsche and not Daimler is now setting up such series production using the findings from the research project. One possible explanation is that Daimler may have decided to work with other partners. It was only at the beginning of July that the company announced its entry into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/07\/03\/mercedes-invests-in-battery-production-with-farasis\/\">Chinese battery cell manufacturer Farasis<\/a> to supply the German Mercedes plants from the planned factory in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, among other places. In addition, Daimler entered into a closer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/08\/05\/catl-and-mercedes-benz-expand-partnership\/\">partnership with CATL<\/a> only last week.<\/p>\n<p>Porsche has been purchasing the cells for the Taycan from LG Chem, while the battery itself is pre-assembled by supplier Dr\u00e4xlmaier and delivered to Zuffenhausen. Porsche is very satisfied with the Taycan&#8217;s sales figures so far, but higher quantities are expected for the next generation of the Macan, which will also be offered as an electric SUV.<\/p>\n<p>Customcells was spun off from the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology in 2012.
