Con este acuerdo, GM se convertir\u00e1 en el socio de Nikola para la fabricaci\u00f3n en EE.UU., empezando por el tan esperado pick-up Badger de emisiones cero. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>GM fabricar\u00e1 tanto el BEV como la versi\u00f3n de pila de combustible del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/02\/11\/nikola-quiere-construir-un-pickup-electrico\/\">Tej\u00f3n<\/a> para Nikola a partir de finales de 2022. El gigante automovil\u00edstico tambi\u00e9n desarrollar\u00e1 el pick-up hasta la fase de producci\u00f3n y se encargar\u00e1 de la homologaci\u00f3n. Por su parte, Nikola se har\u00e1 cargo de las ventas y el marketing del pick-up el\u00e9ctrico, que se presentar\u00e1 en Arizona a principios de diciembre. This should then probably only concern the fuel cell version of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/02\/07\/nikola-tre-to-be-built-in-ulm-germany\/\">Nikola Tre, which is to be built in Ulm<\/a> from 2023. The US models from the Arizona plant currently under construction should then be equipped with GM technology. Not unimportant in this regard, is that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/09\/07\/bosch-and-hanwha-invest-230-million-in-nikola\/\">Bosch also has a stake in Nikola Motor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As Nikola writes in the press release, the strategic partnership should enable cost reductions in various programs, including the Nikola Tre. To what extent GM technology will be used in the Tre \u2013 which is based on an Iveco S-Way \u2013 is not yet clear.<\/p>\n<p>The 11 per cent stake also gives General Motors the right to appoint a director, although who will take over this position and what function they will be given in the process has not yet been revealed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By joining together, we get access to their validated parts for all of our programs, General Motors\u2019 Ultium battery technology and a multi-billion dollar fuel cell program ready for production,&#8221; said Nikola CEO Trevor Milton of the benefits to the company he founded. &#8220;Nikola immediately gets decades of supplier and manufacturing knowledge, validated and tested production-ready EV propulsion, world-class engineering and investor confidence.&#8221; He concluded that &#8220;most importantly, General Motors has a vested interest to see Nikola succeed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the deal looks pretty rosy for General Motors too.
