El antiguo jefe del Grupo Volkswagen Matthias M\u00fcller se convertir\u00e1 en presidente del consejo de supervisi\u00f3n de la empresa. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Matthias M\u00fcller se une a Pi\u00ebch Automotive unos dos a\u00f1os y medio despu\u00e9s de retirarse de la alta direcci\u00f3n de Volkswagen, donde tambi\u00e9n fue director general de Porsche. \"La misi\u00f3n de los dos fundadores me inspir\u00f3 porque es m\u00e1s coherente y visionaria que cualquier otro enfoque que haya encontrado durante mi trabajo en la industria del autom\u00f3vil\", afirma M\u00fcller. The prominent German investor Peter Thiel is also said to have participated in the Pi\u00ebch project.<\/p>\n<p>Pi\u00ebch Automotive, founded by Toni Pi\u00ebch and Rea Stark, presented an electric sports car called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/02\/21\/piech-automotive-to-present-mark-zero-in-geneva\/\">Mark Zero last year<\/a>, which is scheduled to go on sale at the end of 2022 or early 2023, with several other vehicles to follow. The Mark Zero should be using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/03\/04\/piech-automotive-using-new-cell-type-for-mark-zero\/\">a new cell type<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The electric car startup has also announced the second round of financing which should be launched in the coming months under the guidance of UBS bank. At the trade fair premiere in Geneva, Toni Pi\u00ebch estimated the company&#8217;s financing requirements until the Mark Zero is ready for series production at around 500 million euros. In another report, Co-CEO Henke said that a smaller sum would be sufficient.<\/p>\n<p>The Swiss electric car startup recently presented the design freeze of the e-sports car has built the prototype. Now the next phase will begin with testing. Pi\u00ebch Automotive&#8217;s modular vehicle concept should allow numerous body variants and drive systems as well as &#8220;continuous upgrades in hardware and software&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The core of the electric sports car is to be a special battery that can recharge up to 80 per cent of its capacity in just 4:40 minutes, which is to correspond to a range gain of 400 kilometres \u2013 the WLTP range should be a maximum of 500 kilometres.
