El sistema est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para garantizar que las bater\u00edas de los coches el\u00e9ctricos est\u00e9n a la temperatura \u00f3ptima para cargar a la m\u00e1xima potencia al llegar a la estaci\u00f3n de carga.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La temperatura de las celdas de las bater\u00edas desempe\u00f1a un papel clave en los coches el\u00e9ctricos, ya que el rendimiento de la carga disminuye si las celdas est\u00e1n demasiado fr\u00edas o demasiado calientes. Hasta ahora, la gesti\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica ha sido b\u00e1sicamente reactiva: si los sensores miden temperaturas demasiado altas, se activa la refrigeraci\u00f3n, o viceversa: si las temperaturas son demasiado bajas, se activa el calentamiento de la bater\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso de los motores de combusti\u00f3n, este control reactivo funciona bien, ya que un bloque motor puede enfriarse en pocos minutos. Sin embargo, las bater\u00edas de los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos, que pueden pesar hasta 700 kilogramos, son mucho m\u00e1s inertes t\u00e9rmicamente. \"Con ellas, la temperatura s\u00f3lo puede regularse muy lentamente\", afirma Bj\u00f6rn Pehnert, jefe de proyecto especializado en gesti\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica de Porsche Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta ahora, algunos coches el\u00e9ctricos han sido capaces de ajustar la gesti\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica de la bater\u00eda a un nivel \u00f3ptimo cuando la ruta es guiada de forma activa y se planifica con antelaci\u00f3n una parada de carga: Al llegar a la estaci\u00f3n de carga, las celdas se encuentran dentro de la ventana de temperatura \u00f3ptima para una carga r\u00e1pida. El problema surge porque casi nadie introduce todos los destinos en su sistema de navegaci\u00f3n. Since the vehicle knows that the journey will soon be over, the battery can cool down on its own again when the vehicle is parked. This way, the car does not have to use energy for unnecessary cooling. &#8220;10 to 30 per cent energy savings are theoretically possible,&#8221; says Ondrej Holub, who heads a software development team at Porsche Engineering in Prague.<\/p>\n<p>This driving data is combined with additional information from a simulation. Models are used to simulate the thermal management from the battery to the drive and cooling system to the air conditioning system. The digital twin then indicates how the battery&#8217;s state of charge will change when the heating is turned on, for example. This data is then supplemented with a software module called a Real-Time Estimator (RTE). This software is designed to calculate the influence of driving behaviour, payload, road surface or even the paintwork \u2013 in black models, the interior heats up more, which affects the thermal behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>According to Porsche, until recently, such calculations would have required powerful mainframe computers. Porsche Engineering now claims to have succeeded in ensuring that, thanks to &#8220;clever optimisation,&#8221; the software can run on a normal control unit.<\/p>\n<p>The project has now been completed.
