Debido a posibles impurezas en el proceso de producci\u00f3n de las celdas de las bater\u00edas, existe un mayor riesgo de incendio en varias series. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El n\u00famero total de veh\u00edculos enchufables afectados asciende a 26.700 en todo el mundo. Un tercio de estas unidades est\u00e1n en manos de los clientes; el resto est\u00e1n sujetas a una parada de entrega. En concreto, se ven afectadas las versiones PHEV de los modelos X1, X2, X3, X5, Active Tourer de la serie 2, serie 3, serie 5, serie 7, i8 Coup\u00e9 y Roadster, as\u00ed como el Mini Countryman desde el periodo de fabricaci\u00f3n comprendido entre el 20 de enero y el 18 de septiembre de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan un portavoz del Grupo, el problema es \"espec\u00edfico de cada pa\u00eds y no afecta necesariamente a todos estos modelos\". En Alemania, unos 1.800 veh\u00edculos de clientes tienen que ser llevados al taller, mientras que otros 3.500 veh\u00edculos ya producidos no ser\u00e1n entregados por el momento.<\/p>\n<p>BMW se est\u00e1 abasteciendo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2019\/11\/21\/bmw-esta-comprando-baterias-por-valor-de-miles-de-millones-a-catl-y-samsung-sdi\/\">c\u00e9lulas de bater\u00eda de CATL y Samsung SDI<\/a>y a partir de 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/07\/16\/northvolt-se-convierte-en-el-tercer-proveedor-de-celulas-de-bateria-de-bmw\/\">Northvolt ser\u00e1 otro proveedor de c\u00e9lulas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Las \"impurezas en el proceso de producci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas de las bater\u00edas\" probablemente s\u00f3lo se han producido en uno de los dos proveedores actuales, raz\u00f3n por la cual s\u00f3lo algunos de los veh\u00edculos est\u00e1n afectados. \"En casos excepcionales, estas impurezas pueden provocar un cortocircuito en las celdas del acumulador de alto voltaje, por ejemplo\", afirma el portavoz.<\/p>\n<p>BMW espera una soluci\u00f3n \"probablemente para finales de octubre\". Sin embargo, seg\u00fan informa <em>kfz-betrieb<\/em>BMW a\u00fan no ha podido facilitar ning\u00fan detalle sobre la inspecci\u00f3n de las unidades de almacenamiento de alto voltaje ni sobre las medidas de reparaci\u00f3n que puedan ser necesarias. Since four vehicles suffered fires due to overheating of the battery during charging, customers are also advised not to charge the battery via cable. The cause at Ford is apparently a safety mechanism that does not reliably dissipate enough heat and pressure.<\/p>\n<p>At BMW there were three reports of plug-in hybrids caught on fire last week, specifically in the German town of Erfurt, Herne and Salzburg in Austria. BMW has not yet been able to confirm whether the incidents are connected to the recall. A comprehensive analysis of the damaged vehicles is still pending.<\/p>\n<p>This is not BMW&#8217;s first problem with its PHEVs: as recently announced in August, a recall of 4,460 units of the BMW 3 Series, 3 Series Touring, X1, X2, X3, X5, 2 Series Active Tourer, 7 Series, 5 Series and 5 Series Touring and Mini Countryman series. During internal inspections, it was discovered that a welding bead on the high-voltage accumulator from the component period 13 March 13 to 6 August 2020 had not been completely removed during production. &#8220;In rare cases &#8211; depending on the shape, size and position of the welding bead &#8211; the contamination during the initial charging process could cause a malfunction, such as a short circuit in the high-voltage storage tank,&#8221; said the manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>A significantly larger is a battery recall that is currently underway at Hyundai: In South Korea, the recall of over 25,000 Kona Electric has already been confirmed. According to reports, Hyundai has decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/10\/08\/hyundai-recalls-25000-kona-models-in-korea\/\">voluntarily recall 77,000 Kona Electric<\/a> worldwide.
