Tambi\u00e9n hay novedades en tecnolog\u00eda.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El propio fabricante muniqu\u00e9s lo ha dicho hoy: a\u00fan falta un a\u00f1o para que el BMW iX vea la luz de los concesionarios. As\u00ed que lo que se ha mostrado hoy en el evento virtual #NextGen, ha sido \"un primer vistazo al futuro BMW iX, que actualmente se encuentra todav\u00eda en fase de desarrollo en serie\".<\/p>\n<p>\"El BMW iX es el primer modelo basado en un nuevo conjunto de herramientas de futuro, modular y escalable, desarrollado por el Grupo BMW y centrado en una nueva interpretaci\u00f3n del dise\u00f1o, la sostenibilidad, el placer de conducir, la versatilidad y el lujo\", contin\u00faa la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Tenga en cuenta que este \"conjunto de herramientas del futuro\" no es lo mismo que la plataforma espec\u00edfica para coches el\u00e9ctricos que BMW acaba de anunciar. Aunque el BMW iNext como concepto y su versi\u00f3n de producci\u00f3n BMW iX fueron visiones de la conducci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica en sus inicios, la empresa ha seguido adelante desde entonces. pionera de autom\u00f3viles\" dise\u00f1ados de dentro a fuera, es decir, pensando en los conductores que pueden beneficiarse de la conducci\u00f3n automatizada y la conectividad, as\u00ed como de la electrificaci\u00f3n. La compa\u00f1\u00eda repiti\u00f3 hoy que el iNext o BMW iX seguir\u00e1 siendo un \"buque insignia tecnol\u00f3gico\".<\/p>\n<p>\"Estamos estableciendo nuevos est\u00e1ndares en la industria con la tecnolog\u00eda del BMW iX. El iX tiene m\u00e1s potencia de c\u00e1lculo para el procesamiento de datos y una tecnolog\u00eda de sensores m\u00e1s potente que los veh\u00edculos m\u00e1s nuevos de nuestra gama actual, tiene capacidad 5G, contar\u00e1 con nuevas y mejoradas funciones de conducci\u00f3n y aparcamiento automatizados y utiliza la quinta generaci\u00f3n de alto rendimiento de nuestro sistema de propulsi\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica\", afirma Frank Weber, miembro del Consejo de Direcci\u00f3n de BMW AG, Desarrollo.<\/p>\n<h3>Hablar de tecnolog\u00eda<\/h3>\n<p>El BMW iX utilizar\u00e1 la quinta generaci\u00f3n de propulsores de la firma, desarrollada internamente. Comprende dos motores el\u00e9ctricos, la electr\u00f3nica de potencia, la tecnolog\u00eda de carga y la bater\u00eda de alto voltaje.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque BMW habla de \"c\u00e1lculos recientes basados en la fase actual de desarrollo del coche\" y, por tanto, de datos preliminares de prestaciones, estiman una potencia m\u00e1xima de m\u00e1s de 370 kW\/500 CV, suficiente para impulsar al BMW iX de 0 a 100 km\/h en menos de 5,0 segundos.<\/p>\n<p>Al mismo tiempo, BMW tiene como objetivo un \"consumo combinado de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica excepcionalmente bajo\" -en el segmento de los e-SUV- de menos de 21 kWh cada 100 kil\u00f3metros (62 millas) en WLTP. Una bater\u00eda con un contenido bruto de energ\u00eda de m\u00e1s de 100 kWh afirma una autonom\u00eda de m\u00e1s de 600 kil\u00f3metros. Assuming a net capacity of 95 kWh, charging from 10 to 80 per cent would correspond to an energy quantity of 66.5 kWh. With a charging time of 40 minutes, this results in an average charging capacity of precisely 100 kW. In other words, if the iX is charging at ten per cent state-of-charge with the maximum 200 kW, BMW would have to regulate charging power quite early if the average charging power is 100 kW. Of course, we can only make precise statements once the vehicle was charged under various conditions in practice. Even if the assumed net capacity is a few kilowatt-hours off and the charging time until the start of series production still improves by a few minutes, the BMW iX seems a long way from the almost straight charging curve of a BMW i3 or Audi e-tron quattro, which remains steep up to 80 per cent SoC.<\/p>\n<p>While this remains to be figured once the iX hits the roads and charge stops in real life, the company confidently stresses that the power unit, including the battery, has been manufactured sustainably without the use of critical raw materials known as rare earth.<\/p>\n<p>The same seems to go for the concept and design of the BMW iX which BMW says were &#8220;rooted in an all-embracing approach to sustainability&#8221;. Optimised aerodynamics, lightweight design through an aluminium spaceframe and so-called Carbon Cage and extensive use of natural and recycled materials made it onto the list.<\/p>\n<h3>Talking about design<\/h3>\n<p>We may spare you some of BMW&#8217;s press talk here, not the least because you can see for yourself. At the same time, we noted that the company still speaks of the classic kidney grille. It is, of course, front and centre and yet more nostalgia than necessary if not obsolete. As BMW admits, the electric drive system of the BMW iX &#8220;requires only a small amount of cooling air&#8221; so that the kidney grille is &#8220;completely blanked off&#8221;. Its new reason for being is now entirely digital as it functions as an &#8220;intelligence panel&#8221;. Behind a transparent surface, the grille holds camera technology, radar functions and other sensors for the aforementioned automated driving features.<\/p>\n<p>BMW is calling the integration &#8220;shy tech&#8221; meaning other cameras and sensors are likewise positioned discreetly. The door openers are &#8220;flush&#8221; and answer to the push of a button and BMW is proud to have reutilised the logos to conceal the filler neck for the windscreen washer fluid or the rear-view camera.<\/p>\n<p>While the interior repeats BMW&#8217;s claimed minimalist approach (some may find it bordering on bland) it is designed for spaciousness. A large panoramic glass roof covers all five seats of the BMW iX cabin and lends a &#8220;lounge-like ambience,&#8221; BMW hopes. They also mention the shy tech again, this time for features such as integrated speakers or &#8220;intricately styled air vents&#8221; and heated surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>Even the Head-Up Display\u2019s projector &#8220;discreetly recesses&#8221; into the instrument panel, according to the designers. The curved display consists of a 12.3&#8243; monitor for the digital instrument cluster and a 14.9&#8243; curved touchscreen for infotainment. The monitors will run the &#8220;next-generation BMW Operating System&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Outside, the BMW iX is comparable with the BMW X5 in length and width (4,90 x 2 metres) and is almost the same height as the BMW X6 on account of its roofline (1,70 metre). The size of the 21&#8221; and 22&#8221; wheels, meanwhile, brings to mind the BMW X7.<\/p>\n<p>BMW is currently preparing the plant in Dingolfing to start series production of the BMW iX for market entry in late 2021. Customers in the US will have to be a little more patient: Even though global production will begin in July 2021, BMW will deliver US production slots later in the year.
