Para ello, la producci\u00f3n de motores de combusti\u00f3n de la empresa tendr\u00e1 que dejar paso.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El futuro montaje de veh\u00edculos y sus procesos de producci\u00f3n se dise\u00f1ar\u00e1n para la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/11\/04\/bmw-anuncia-su-propia-plataforma-ev-en-su-nueva-estrategia\/\">nueva arquitectura de cl\u00faster<\/a> orientada a los propulsores el\u00e9ctricos. En la nueva l\u00ednea de montaje de la planta principal, la producci\u00f3n de motores tendr\u00e1 que dejar paso a los propulsores el\u00e9ctricos, lo que significa que BMW dejar\u00e1 de fabricar motores de combusti\u00f3n interna en Alemania. En el futuro, fabricar\u00e1n motores de gasolina y diesel exclusivamente en las plantas de Steyr (Austria) y Hams Hall (Reino Unido).<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de que BMW anunciara a principios de este mes que las cuatro plantas automovil\u00edsticas alemanas producir\u00edan veh\u00edculos puramente el\u00e9ctricos en el futuro, el fabricante de autom\u00f3viles da ahora otros nombres concretos. En 2022 comenzar\u00e1 en Alemania la producci\u00f3n del nuevo BMW X1 en la planta de Ratisbona, que se ofrecer\u00e1 tanto con motor de combusti\u00f3n como con propulsi\u00f3n totalmente el\u00e9ctrica. Adem\u00e1s, el sucesor del Mini Countryman se fabricar\u00e1 en la planta de BMW en Leipzig a partir de 2023, donde ya se produce el i3 el\u00e9ctrico desde 2013.<\/p>\n<p>La estrategia de poder producir modelos con diferentes tipos de accionamiento en una sola l\u00ednea ha dado sus frutos en el a\u00f1o de crisis 2020, seg\u00fan el miembro del Consejo de Producci\u00f3n Milan Nedeljkovi\u0107. \"Durante la crisis de Covid-19, hemos demostrado que podemos responder con rapidez y eficacia incluso a la evoluci\u00f3n altamente vol\u00e1til del mercado y, al mismo tiempo, mejorar permanentemente nuestra estructura de costes\", explic\u00f3 el miembro del Consejo de Producci\u00f3n. For Manfred Schoch, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the General Works Council, the decision &#8220;provides a model for successful transformation in the German industry&#8221;. If the transformation were approached\u00a0&#8220;strategically, and with courage&#8221;, he says, industrial jobs can be secured and expanded even in the middle of a large city.<\/p>\n<p>BMW CEO Oliver Zipse announced the cluster architecture <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/11\/04\/bmw-announces-their-own-ev-platform-in-new-strategy\/\">at the beginning of November<\/a> when presenting the business figures for the third quarter. For the phase of market ramp-up, the carmaker headquartered in Munich believes that its flexible production strategy will put it in &#8220;exactly the right and robust position&#8221; until 2025. &#8220;Our new cluster architecture is geared to electric drives,&#8221; said Zipse at the time. &#8220;This section reports directly to me. It is organisationally networked with all departments \u2013 Markets, Finance, Procurement, Development, Production and Sales&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h3>The new platform first in Hungary, then in Munich<\/h3>\n<p>Zipse had also announced that the new &#8220;BEV-centered architecture&#8221; was to start in Hungary in the middle of the decade. This timetable has now been confirmed by the head of production Nedeljkovi\u0107, who added that the &#8220;step by step roll-out in the worldwide production network&#8221; will take place with Munich as the next step.<\/p>\n<p>With the withdrawal of engine assembly from Munich where combustion engines with four, six, eight and twelve cylinders are manufactured, Nedeljkovi\u0107 describes this as a strategy with vision. With this move, the automaker intends to increase efficiency and fully utilise its capacities. With three engine plants, the board member responsible for production saw this as a threat. Engine production in Munich is to be phased out by 2024 at the latest so that work can begin on vehicle assembly.<\/p>\n<p>The employees affected are to be deployed in other areas including engine production in Munich or at other locations in Bavaria. At the electric drive production <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/07\/02\/bmw-opens-competence-centre-for-e-drive-production\/\">competence centre in Dingolfing<\/a>, BMW is currently expanding its team from 1,000 to 2,000 employees.<\/p>\n<p>Starting next year, BMW will manufacture the i4 in Munich and the iX in Dingolfing.
