Las celdas NMX se ofrecer\u00e1n inicialmente en dos tama\u00f1os: una versi\u00f3n de 115 Ah con 245 Wh\/kg y una variante de 226 Ah con 240 Wh\/kg. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El fabricante chino de c\u00e9lulas de bater\u00edas anunci\u00f3 por primera vez las c\u00e9lulas sin cobalto en 2019 y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/05\/23\/svolt-publica-detalles-sobre-las-pilas-de-litio-sin-cobalto\/\">proporcion\u00f3 detalles iniciales en mayo de 2020<\/a>. La empresa ha anunciado ahora que las primeras variantes de c\u00e9lulas est\u00e1n disponibles para pedidos desde mediados de diciembre. Las c\u00e9lulas no se entregar\u00e1n hasta despu\u00e9s de que comience la producci\u00f3n en serie en la planta de Jintan (China), seg\u00fan lo previsto, en junio de 2021. SVOLT afirma que a finales de 2023, las bater\u00edas sin cobalto tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1n producirse en la planta de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/11\/17\/svolt-construira-una-fabrica-de-baterias-de-24-gwh-en-el-sarre-aleman\/\">planta prevista en el Sarre<\/a>, en Alemania.<\/p>\n<p>Las bater\u00edas abastecer\u00e1n principalmente a la empresa matriz de SVOLT, Great Wall. En <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2020\/09\/29\/los-vehiculos-de-gran-muralla-con-baterias-sin-cobalto-de-svolt-llegaran-a-las-carreteras-el-proximo-ano\/\">Septiembre del a\u00f1o pasado<\/a>, declar\u00f3 el presidente de SVOLT, Yang Hongxin. <em>Reuters<\/em> que Great Wall quiere utilizar las c\u00e9lulas sin cobalto en un \"modelo de gama alta\".<\/p>\n<p>Estas c\u00e9lulas se basan en una novedosa mezcla de n\u00edquel y manganeso y SVOLT las denomina NMX (o NMx). El cobalto, que se utiliza en las pilas NCM para la estabilizaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica, ya no se emplea en las nuevas pilas. Thus, the manganese content is higher than for NCM811 cells, where it was only around ten per cent. The cells are to be stabilised to compensate for the cobalt properties by specially developed doping and coating processes. SVOLT says that in this way, NMX cells achieve higher thermal stability and overall safety than NCM cells.<\/p>\n<p>The 115 Ah and 245 Wh\/kg versions are designed in MEB format (33.4 x 220 x 102.5 mm). A cell&#8217;s capacity is 430 Wh (396 Wh usable), its voltage is 3.74 volts. This cell is to be built at the start of production, so it should be available at the end of the second quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The 226 Ah cells with 240 Wh\/kg are then not to be delivered until the fourth quarter. The 226 Ah version is SVOLT&#8217;s own L6 cell format (21.5 x 574 x 118 mm).
