En un proyecto piloto en Suecia, se probar\u00e1 un cami\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrico Volvo en distancias m\u00e1s largas.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El proyecto conjunto supone el primer uso en el mundo de un semirremolque el\u00e9ctrico Volvo FH totalmente el\u00e9ctrico con un peso bruto combinado de hasta 60 toneladas, que circular\u00e1 entre dos terminales log\u00edsticas de DHL Freight en Suecia a partir de marzo de este a\u00f1o. La ruta discurre entre las ciudades suecas de Gotemburgo y J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping con una distancia de 150 kil\u00f3metros.<\/p>\n<p>Durante esta fase de prueba, Volvo y DHL esperan obtener valiosos conocimientos e informaci\u00f3n sobre la configuraci\u00f3n y el funcionamiento de una infraestructura de carga adecuada. Los datos recogidos en el proyecto piloto deber\u00edan determinar un equilibrio ideal entre distancia, carga y puntos de recarga en el transporte diario por carretera.<\/p>\n<p>Volvo ya dispone de modelos de camiones el\u00e9ctricos FL y Volvo FE para la distribuci\u00f3n en zonas urbanas fabricados en serie. Para este proyecto sueco, las dos empresas est\u00e1n utilizando un semirremolque el\u00e9ctrico llamado Volvo FH. DHL y Volvo Trucks no han facilitado a\u00fan ning\u00fan dato t\u00e9cnico sobre este veh\u00edculo, s\u00f3lo que, al parecer, el semirremolque de 60 toneladas puede recorrer una distancia de 150 kil\u00f3metros sin carga intermedia. El cami\u00f3n se cargar\u00e1 en las instalaciones de DHL en J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping y en el Centro de Camiones Volvo de Gotemburgo.<\/p>\n<p>Volvo Trucks hab\u00eda anunciado en noviembre de 2020 que pretend\u00eda ofrecer una versi\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica en todos sus modelos. The DHL Freight division says that income generated from the surcharges of this program are fully invested in clean technologies within the Swedish network. Deutsche Post DHL is one of the founding members of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2021\/02\/17\/ev100-report-corporate-fleets-doubled-in-2020\/\">EV100 committed to pioneering the decarbonisation of corporate fleets globally<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Uwe Brinks, CEO at DHL Freight says: &#8220;Our aim is to reduce all logistics-related emissions to zero. Important milestones have already been achieved in meeting this: compared to 2007, our Group\u2019s CO2 efficiency has improved by 35%. However, we need innovative technological solutions and strong partnerships along this journey. I\u2019m confident that our strong cooperation with Volvo Trucks, one of the major truck brands in the world, will support us in achieving our ambitious environmental goals in the road freight sector.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Internationally the freight transport sector internationally is lagging behind other transport sectors because of the lack of road-based zero-emission, long-distance vehicles, and longer-distance shipping vessels as well as the required hydrogen refuelling or electricity charging infrastructure for either case. This is currently a very dynamically-changing landscape that has seen enormous development in the last 12 months. For example, Hyundai <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/10\/07\/hyundai-delivers-xcient-h2-trucks-for-customers-in-switzerland\/\">announced its international market strategy with zero-emission long-haul fuel cell trucks<\/a> and are already going to market in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/09\/18\/hyundai-to-bring-h2-trucks-to-us-markets-by-2022\/\">USA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/11\/04\/hyundai-signs-letters-of-intent-for-fuel-cell-fleet-in-china\/\">China<\/a> and Europe. Better late than never, at the end of last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2020\/11\/02\/volvo-daimler-launch-fuel-cell-joint-venture\/\">Volvo and Daimler partnered up<\/a> with a joint venture to focus on fuel cell trucking solutions. On the battery-electric semi-trailer front, of course, Tesla says it will be starting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2021\/01\/29\/tesla-production-of-semi-cybertruck-dependent-on-4680-cells\/\">volume production of its battery-electric Semi next year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our commitment is that our entire truck sales range will be fossil-free by 2040 at the latest,&#8221; says Roger Alm, CEO of Volvo trucks.
