En su \u00faltima reuni\u00f3n, el consejo de supervisi\u00f3n de Porsche AG acord\u00f3 invertir otros 70 millones de euros con este fin.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A mediados de 2018, el fabricante alem\u00e1n de autom\u00f3viles de lujo primero <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2018\/06\/20\/porsche-compra-una-participacion-en-el-fabricante-croata-de-supercoches-rimac\/\">tom\u00f3 una participaci\u00f3n del diez por ciento<\/a> en Rimac y aument\u00f3 su participaci\u00f3n al 15,5% poco m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s. At the same time, the company, based in Sveta Nedelja near Zagreb, emphasises its independence. Mate Rimac says: &#8220;With many car manufacturers across the world being Rimac customers, it is important, both for Rimac and Porsche, that we remain an entirely independent business. The partnership with Porsche helps the company develop and grow which is beneficial for all of our customers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Other shareholders include the likes of Hyundai and Kia, who agreed upon a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2019\/05\/14\/hyundai-and-kia-invest-80-million-euros-in-rimac\/\">strategic partnership with the Croatian company in 2019<\/a> and invested 80 million euros in Rimac in the process. Rimac also signed collaborations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2018\/12\/12\/pininfarina-christens-its-e-sportscar-battista\/\">with Pininfarina<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2018\/07\/05\/seat-teaming-up-with-rimac-for-cupra-e-racer\/\">Seat&#8217;s Cupra brand<\/a> in 2018. The company&#8217;s other partners include Aston Martin, Renault and Koenigsegg.<\/p>\n<p>Mate Rimac founded the company that bears his name in 2009 at the age of 21. Before that, as a pupil and student, he had already been tinkering with his vision of the electrically powered super sports car. Today, the company employs almost 1000 people. The Croatian company&#8217;s latest in-house development is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2018\/03\/07\/rimac-hypercar-c_two-faster-tesla-roadster\/\">electric hypercar called the C Two<\/a>, which they presented at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The two-seater produces a phenomenal 1,408 kW and reaches a top speed of 412 km\/h. The electric hypercar manages a range of 650 NEDC kilometres and can be charged to 80 per cent SoC in half an hour with a 250 kW fast-charging system.
