Ambas empresas especializadas combinar\u00e1n los componentes existentes para formar la novedosa propulsi\u00f3n de emisiones cero alimentada por bater\u00edas BMW.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Torqeedo y Poseidon califican su desarrollo conjunto de \"sistema de propulsi\u00f3n totalmente el\u00e9ctrico y direccionable dise\u00f1ado para proporcionar hasta 65 kW de potencia sin emisiones y un empuje direccional ideal para maniobrar en las v\u00edas navegables interiores de Europa\".<\/p>\n<p>Para ello, las empresas integran una h\u00e9lice de tim\u00f3n giratoria 360\u00b0 de Poseidon en el sistema de propulsi\u00f3n Deep Blue de Torqeedo, que ofrece una potencia continua de 50 kW y dicha potencia m\u00e1xima de 65 kW. A esto se a\u00f1aden bater\u00edas de iones de litio con una capacidad de banco de bater\u00edas de 80 kWh a 1 MWh de BMWi, socio est\u00e1ndar de Torqeedo. Sus bater\u00edas cumplen los requisitos de las normas IEC 62619 e IEC 62620, mientras que tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 disponible una variante de bater\u00eda con homologaci\u00f3n DNV-GL para aplicaciones en alta mar, seg\u00fan Torqeedo.<\/p>\n<p>Los socios estiman que la configuraci\u00f3n t\u00edpica ser\u00eda de dos sistemas de propulsi\u00f3n para un buque medio con una capacidad de 80 a 200 pasajeros. Ampereship is building a solar-electric passenger ferry that will travel between the mainland town of Kamp and the island of Usedom in Northern Germany. The close to 15-metre ferry will take up to 20 people and 15 bicycles per trip at a cruising speed of 8 km\/h, with a max speed of 14 km\/h. The new ferry is scheduled to start operations in August 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Phillip Goethe, Director of Project Sales at Torqeedo, reckons there are plenty of similar routes ripe for electrification. &#8220;There are many commercial applications that can be electrified very economically. Our focus is to keep the total cost of ownership low by offering a solution on a system level, including design-in, service, maintenance and remote diagnostics,&#8221; he emphasises.<\/p>\n<p>Axel B\u00fcchling, manager project sales for Torqeedo, also points to the modular system design, allowing operators to use the same parts and components in different vessels and monitor and service these remotely. &#8220;That is a big advantage,&#8221; he claims.<\/p>\n<p>This cost-effectiveness of vessels, says Torqeedo, could be further accomplished with Deep Blue because speeds are often limited in inner-city waterways. Besides, the vessels are typically in use for 8-14 hours per day. Not only does this leave plenty of time for overnight charging, but it also reduces infrastructure and battery costs.<\/p>\n<p>The system is available as of now with services provided by Deutz.
