En el proyecto participan, entre otros, la TU Berl\u00edn, el Fraunhofer IVI y Bosch.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El objetivo de eHaul es determinar si las grandes bater\u00edas intercambiables para camiones de hasta 40 toneladas son una alternativa sensata en el sector del transporte con trayectos diarios de m\u00e1s de 300 kil\u00f3metros. Para ello, los impulsores quieren probar en la pr\u00e1ctica su concepto de estaci\u00f3n automatizada de intercambio de bater\u00edas. El plan es, por tanto, instalar una estaci\u00f3n de intercambio de bater\u00edas en el sur de Berl\u00edn. Paralelamente, el consorcio acaba de poner en servicio dos camiones electrificados, que despu\u00e9s ser\u00e1n utilizados por dos empresas de log\u00edstica en servicio regular.<\/p>\n<p>Durante m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o, el d\u00fao de camiones se dirigir\u00e1 a la estaci\u00f3n de cambio como parte de una operaci\u00f3n real de reparto. En el futuro, un robot especialmente desarrollado se encargar\u00e1 del cambio de bater\u00eda in situ, que s\u00f3lo llevar\u00e1 unos minutos. \"Ambos veh\u00edculos est\u00e1n equipados con una serie de sensores para registrar los datos que afectan al consumo de energ\u00eda durante las operaciones regulares: el consumo de energ\u00eda del motor, la carga, el clima, el perfil de altitud de la ruta, el consumo de energ\u00eda secundaria como el aire acondicionado en la cabina del conductor, as\u00ed como la energ\u00eda necesaria para mantener la temperatura de la bodega de carga\", explica la profesora Dra. Stefanie Marker, jefa del Departamento de Observaci\u00f3n del Comportamiento del Conductor para la Optimizaci\u00f3n Energ\u00e9tica y la Prevenci\u00f3n de Accidentes de la Universidad T\u00e9cnica de Berl\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n persigue un sistema de intercambio de bater\u00edas para camiones el proyecto RouteCharge del programa tecnol\u00f3gico \"TIC para la electromovilidad\". \u00bfQu\u00e9 diferencia a este proyecto del proyecto eHaul? RouteCharge se refiere a camiones de tama\u00f1o medio, del orden de 18 toneladas, y distancias medias de hasta 300 kil\u00f3metros. Over the next few months, the consortium wants to test the technical feasibility and energy consumption data of their approach, as well as its economic viability. The central question is how a system must be designed so that it is economical and offers a real alternative for the logistics industry.<\/p>\n<p>For Professor Marker, it is obvious that electrification of long-distance road freight transport makes sense in principle: &#8220;If we were able to begin by electrifying just a few vehicles, the high mileage of these vehicles alone would create a significant absolute impact.&#8221; Unfortunately, there are not yet very many electric vehicles in use in the truck segment with up to 40 tonnes, as these are usually only produced on direct demand, she explains. The problem is that most of these large trucks are used for distances that cannot be covered on a battery charge. &#8220;Haulage companies also can\u2019t afford to lose hours waiting for a battery to charge.&#8221; A network of battery charging stations is therefore a potential solution in their view.<\/p>\n<p>Jens-Olav Jerratsch, team leader under Professor Marker at the TU Berlin and project manager of the joint project, adds that for trucks, battery-electric approaches would compete with hydrogen technology, among other things. &#8220;We are examining the option of battery exchange as it is not possible to keep making bigger batteries without negatively affecting other consumption factors. Other options include fast charging, which is already used for passenger cars. For trucks, however, this would require a very high charging capacity &#8211; in effect you would need to build a power station next to the charging station &#8211; particularly as regular operations would require several trucks to be charged simultaneously.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Of course, there are also some challenges with a network of battery charging stations. According to Jerratsch, for example, a solution must be found for attaching and contacting the batteries to the truck so that they can be changed quickly and easily. &#8220;In the long term, another challenge lies in standardizing exchangeable batteries so as to enable cost-effective, modular battery exchange on a larger scale.
