El paquete de 3.000 millones de libras incluye inversiones en 4.000 autobuses m\u00e1s ecol\u00f3gicos propulsados por electricidad e hidr\u00f3geno.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El primer ministro Boris Johnson ha desvelado hoy lo que considera \"la reorganizaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s ambiciosa del sector de los autobuses en una generaci\u00f3n\". En t\u00e9rminos m\u00e1s concretos, hay financiaci\u00f3n para 4.000 autobuses el\u00e9ctricos de bater\u00eda y pila de combustible con un requisito: construir en Gran Breta\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Esto se ajusta a los objetivos declarados de \"salvaguardar la industria brit\u00e1nica de fabricaci\u00f3n de autobuses\". They instead expect operators and local councils to enter into &#8220;enhanced partnerships&#8221; where the authorities will work closely with bus companies. Franchising is also an option.<\/p>\n<p>Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said the new deal would provide &#8220;unprecedented funding, but we need councils to work closely with operators, and the government, to develop the services of the future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Funding will, in fact, depend on it. Bus operators have already received significant emergency support from the government. According to the government, any new sources of funding from the \u00a33 billion transformational investment will have to adhere to the arrangements outlined above. They also announced another consultation to reform the Bus Service Operators Grant \u2013 the current mainstream of government bus funding \u2013 to achieve the same objectives later this year.<\/p>\n<p>For the 4,000 zero-emission buses to be made in Britain, partners have yet to come forward. The ADL-BYD partnership would be an obvious choice as their line-up includes both battery and fuel-cell electric buses and has found favour with councils. They also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2021\/01\/12\/byd-adl-to-assemble-electric-buses-in-the-uk\/\">recently announced<\/a> to begin building the entire chassis of their electric solo and double-decker buses for the UK market directly at ADL\u2019s British plants from the second half of 2021.
