Esto ha cambiado significativamente el enfoque del proyecto iniciado en 2018.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El plan original era desplegar un<a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2019\/05\/23\/ballard-abb-desarrolla-un-remolcador-fc\/\"> remolcador de hidr\u00f3geno en la regi\u00f3n de Lyon<\/a>. En su lugar, ahora se va a poner en servicio un carguero propulsado por hidr\u00f3geno para transportar mercanc\u00edas en pal\u00e9s y en contenedores por el Sena. La compa\u00f1\u00eda francesa de navegaci\u00f3n interior Compagnie Fluvial de Transport (CFT), filial del Grupo Sogestran, es la propietaria del nuevo buque.<\/p>\n<p>\"El plan inicial del proyecto era desplegar un remolcador de hidr\u00f3geno en la zona de Lyon, pero al surgir un potencial m\u00e1s amplio para el hidr\u00f3geno en el transporte de mercanc\u00edas, el remolcador de demostraci\u00f3n se cambi\u00f3 por un buque de carga interior\", explican los iniciadores en un comunicado. El cambio de enfoque se basa en la experiencia del Grupo Sogestran en B\u00e9lgica, donde otra filial llamada Blue Line Logistics (BLL) opera buques de carga bajo el nombre conceptual de \"Zulu\". Como parte del proyecto Flagships, ahora se est\u00e1 instalando un sistema de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de hidr\u00f3geno en un 'Zulu' actualmente en construcci\u00f3n. La entrega y puesta en servicio en Par\u00eds est\u00e1 prevista para finales de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>\"El buque funcionar\u00e1 con hidr\u00f3geno comprimido producido por electr\u00f3lisis, lo que permitir\u00e1 no s\u00f3lo realizar operaciones con cero emisiones, sino tambi\u00e9n crear una base s\u00f3lida para un transporte m\u00e1s local con cero emisiones, tanto en el mar como en tierra\", comparten los participantes en el proyecto. El sistema de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda del carguero ser\u00e1 suministrado por ABB Marine &amp; Ports, las pilas de combustible por Ballard y el hidr\u00f3geno por proveedores de la regi\u00f3n parisina. The consortium behind the project comprises eleven partners, including shipping companies Norled and CFT, as well as ABB and Ballard.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Green and sustainable shipping is a prerequisite for reaching national and international emission reduction targets. Ships powered by renewable hydrogen will make a substantial contribution to reducing emissions from shipping and improving air quality in cities and other densely populated areas,&#8221; says Flagships project coordinator Jyrki Mikkola from VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland.<\/p>\n<p>Just a few days ago, news about another hydrogen shipping project was released about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2021\/04\/11\/152883\/\">the H2 catamaran Energy Observer<\/a>. This catamaran is able to produce its own fuel from seawater while underway. Toyota Motor Europe is a new shareholder in the start-up Energy Observer Developments (EODev).
