While there are no changes to the body, one is a new top-of-the-line model, while the other is a more affordable trim to make the Ariya eligible for subsidies in some countries.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The latter is the front-wheel drive Ariya Engage, available with both battery sizes (63 and 87 kWh). The smaller battery version has a WTLP range of 404 kilometres, while the model with an 87 kWh battery and 178 kW front-wheel drive can get as far as 536 kilometres on one charge. More realistic range figures for this drive combination can be found in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2023\/01\/23\/nissan-ariya-review-well-meant-but-not-always-well-done\/\">our drive report<\/a> on the Nissan Ariya.<\/p>\n<p>According to the carmaker, this new variant would &#8220;ensure [that] customers have the ability to access EV grants and subsidies across some European markets.&#8221; However, Nissan does not say in which countries exactly.<\/p>\n<p>Specific pricing should follow from 3 April, when the two new variants of the Nissan Ariya can be ordered in most European markets. Previously, the maximum power for the all-wheel drive model with the 87 kWh battery was 225 kW. In addition to the familiar Evolve trim, the new Evolve+ features 20-inch alloy wheels with aero covers and a rich Nappa Blue leather seat trim.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Ariya was created for customers who wanted an electric vehicle that fits seamlessly into their lifestyle,&#8221; says Leon Dorssers, Senior Vice Present, Region Marketing &amp; Sales, Nissan AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania). &#8220;Following the interest of our customers, we realised there was room to expand the Ariya line-up on both ends of the spectrum.
