El reglamento, denominado FIA Electric Sport Vehicles (FIA ESV), pretende realizar competiciones de bajo coste con veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos a nivel nacional y regional con especificaciones estandarizadas.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Los coches el\u00e9ctricos se utilizar\u00e1n con \"adaptaciones m\u00ednimas respecto al modelo de producci\u00f3n de carretera\", seg\u00fan la FIA. Esto situar\u00eda a los nuevos veh\u00edculos de competici\u00f3n en el sector de los turismos, definidos como \"veh\u00edculos de pasajeros de producci\u00f3n a gran escala que se utilizan de forma modificada para carreras automovil\u00edsticas\". Esto es diferente del automovilismo de prototipos, que utiliza veh\u00edculos desarrollados espec\u00edficamente para las carreras, por ejemplo en la F\u00f3rmula E o en la serie de carreras todoterreno Extreme E.<\/p>\n<p>Al igual que ocurre con los turismos de combusti\u00f3n interna, seg\u00fan el reglamento t\u00e9cnico de la ESV, la forma de la carrocer\u00eda debe permanecer b\u00e1sicamente inalterada, con la excepci\u00f3n de la ampliaci\u00f3n de los pasos de rueda para alojar neum\u00e1ticos de competici\u00f3n m\u00e1s anchos y conductos de refrigeraci\u00f3n adicionales. Para ahorrar peso, determinadas partes de la carrocer\u00eda, como el port\u00f3n trasero y las puertas, el aler\u00f3n trasero y el difusor, pueden sustituirse por piezas equivalentes fabricadas con materiales ligeros que conserven su forma original. Que la carrocer\u00eda sea un coup\u00e9 o una berlina deportiva es secundario, m\u00e1s importante es la altura del veh\u00edculo: \u00e9sta se ha fijado en un m\u00e1ximo de 1,46 metros.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el anuncio, la potencia m\u00ednima del propulsor es de 300 kW, y son posibles tanto una tracci\u00f3n trasera pura como una tracci\u00f3n total con un segundo motor el\u00e9ctrico en el eje delantero. Adem\u00e1s, los veh\u00edculos dispondr\u00e1n de un sistema de registro de datos estandarizado por la FIA. Esto deber\u00eda permitir controlar el consumo de energ\u00eda en tiempo real a petici\u00f3n de las respectivas series de carreras.<\/p>\n<p>El anuncio no incluye m\u00e1s detalles sobre la bater\u00eda y los sistemas de carga. En su lugar, se mencionan requisitos relacionados con la seguridad: por ejemplo, los \"Veh\u00edculos Deportivos El\u00e9ctricos\" deben contar con un sistema de luces de seguridad, como ya se utiliza en otras competiciones para veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos e h\u00edbridos. After all: theoretically, a 300 kW electric sedan (based on the Tesla Model 3, for example) can compete against a pure sports car with 1,000 kW or more according to the ESV regulations &#8211; i.e. a Lotus Evija or the possible production version of a Porsche Mission X. The Performance Factor creates a value for each car based on measured values &#8220;representing weight, drive unit and aerodynamic performance&#8221;, along with transmission and chassis parameters. Already in the internal combustion racing series, there is a so-called &#8220;Balance of Performance&#8221; to align different production cars.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the governing body of world motorsport, our responsibility is also to ensure that our knowledge and expertise are available to our member clubs as well as local organisers and promoters,&#8221; says Marek Nawarecki, FIA Director of Circuit Racing. &#8220;The FIA ESV revives the spirit of Group N, where a car purchased at a dealership, fitted with all the necessary safety equipment, was essentially competition-ready and suitable for various disciplines and formats.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lutz Leif Linden, President of the FIA&#8217;s GT Commission, even sees a potential business model for manufacturers with factory conversions of electric race cars: &#8220;The FIA ESV ruleset very much responds to the demands of the market. Having this set of technical regulations will allow the manufacturers\u2019 customer racing departments to offer competition-ready variants of their electric cars, which should be a considerable source of revenue of them, much like GT3 is.
