La primera instalaci\u00f3n, cuyo coste se estima en $25 millones, procesar\u00e1 2.000 toneladas m\u00e9tricas al a\u00f1o de residuos de iones de litio.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Los socios esperan convertir los materiales en recursos valiosos como material activo cat\u00f3dico precursor de bater\u00edas de iones de litio, hidr\u00f3xido de litio monohidratado y carbonato de litio.<\/p>\n<p>Se trata de la primera planta comercial de reciclaje de bater\u00edas que utiliza la tecnolog\u00eda de RecycLiCo, y la empresa conjunta afirma que combinar\u00e1 a\u00fan m\u00e1s la experiencia, los recursos y la novedosa tecnolog\u00eda de Zenith. Sin embargo, esta \u00faltima aportar\u00e1 sobre todo a la empresa conjunta los terrenos, la infraestructura y los recursos laborales existentes en Taiw\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto a la financiaci\u00f3n, ambas partes aportar\u00e1n la mitad del capital necesario en tres etapas iniciales, y el resto se ir\u00e1 adelantando a medida que sea necesario para financiar los costes de construcci\u00f3n y puesta en marcha. The latter is also applied by companies such as Li-Cycle and BASF and usually involves aqueous chemistry to recover metals from ores, concentrates, and recycled or residual materials. In the case of batteries, it is usually &#8216;black mass&#8217; that is being processed. RecycLiCo has made no statement concerning any black mass or origin of materials to be recycled.<\/p>\n<p>Zenith, for its part, specialises in nickel-based chemicals, including nickel sulfate for lithium-ion batteries.
