La Comisi\u00f3n Europea ha aprobado una financiaci\u00f3n de 1.500 millones de euros en virtud de las normas sobre ayudas estatales de la UE.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El proyecto de I+D se denomina \"Prometheus\" y se prolongar\u00e1 hasta finales de 2029. Seg\u00fan la Comisi\u00f3n Europea, el fabricante taiwan\u00e9s de bater\u00edas de estado s\u00f3lido ProLogium desarrollar\u00e1 primero una primera generaci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas de estado s\u00f3lido \"para superar las limitaciones asociadas a las bater\u00edas convencionales de iones de litio.\" El segundo paso es desarrollar una nueva generaci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas de estado s\u00f3lido con mayor densidad energ\u00e9tica y mayor sostenibilidad.<\/p>\n<p>El tercer paso implica el desarrollo de procesos y estrategias para reciclar diversos componentes de las nuevas bater\u00edas, y ProLogium contribuir\u00e1 al desarrollo de normas para el reciclaje de bater\u00edas de estado s\u00f3lido. Muchos pa\u00edses, entre ellos China y EE.UU., han introducido directrices estrictas que protegen a los actores aut\u00f3ctonos y excluyen o limitan a los actores extranjeros de poder optar a las subvenciones de la industria para promover la transici\u00f3n del transporte y la energ\u00eda fuera de los combustibles f\u00f3siles. This includes the assessment that the measure: facilitates the development of economic activity, particularly regarding R&amp;D activities for the development of a new generation of SSB technology for electric vehicles; that it has an &#8216;incentive effect&#8217; to carry out research and development; that it is necessary and appropriate, has safeguards, and brings about &#8220;positive effects that outweigh any potential distortion of competition and trade in the EU.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>ProLogium made its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2023\/05\/10\/prologium-looks-to-france-for-next-battery-factory\/\">plan for a factory in France<\/a> official in May this year. The Taiwanese manufacturer&#8217;s first European factory will be built in the northern French port city of Dunkerque. ProLogium will invest 5.2 billion euros to build the 48-GWh factory, which will include a research and development centre. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2024, and production is expected to start at the end of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>So far, ProLogium produces its solid-state batteries in Taiwan, where the production is only designed for a capacity of 3 GWh. Last year, the Vietnamese automaker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2022\/07\/06\/vinfast-invests-in-solid-state-battery-specialist-prologium\/\">VinFast took a stake<\/a> in the company.
