El fabricante de coches el\u00e9ctricos y el especialista en bater\u00edas tienen previsto construir una l\u00ednea piloto para la producci\u00f3n de este tipo de pilas en Maanshan, en la provincia china de Anhui, as\u00ed como un equipo conjunto de I+D.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed lo inform\u00f3 el portal chino <em>36kr<\/em>, entre otros, con referencia a iniciados que suelen estar bien informados de lo que ocurre en la industria asi\u00e1tica de las bater\u00edas. En febrero se supo que Nio planeaba <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2023\/02\/24\/nio-planta-su-propia-fabrica-de-baterias-en-china\/\">construir una f\u00e1brica de bater\u00edas para la producci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas cil\u00edndricas de gran tama\u00f1o<\/a> con una capacidad anual de 40 GWh en la provincia de Anhui, concretamente junto a su principal centro de producci\u00f3n en la ciudad de Hefei. Posteriormente, en julio, Nio dijo que hab\u00eda pospuesto el calendario de producci\u00f3n en serie de bater\u00edas para coches el\u00e9ctricos de desarrollo propio.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan <em>36kr<\/em>, el proyecto de empresa conjunta con SVOLT est\u00e1 relacionado con esto: Se dice que Nio ha concertado la asociaci\u00f3n porque el desarrollo de sus propias bater\u00edas no va seg\u00fan lo previsto. El informe dice incluso que Nio ha fracasado con su proyecto de bater\u00edas. SVOLT es un fabricante de bater\u00edas escindido de Great Wall Motor con ambiciones globales. Se dice que el plan inicial implicaba que Nio y SVOLT invirtieran en una l\u00ednea de producci\u00f3n piloto en Maanshan y combinaran parte de su personal de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo. Sin embargo, en t\u00e9rminos de fabricaci\u00f3n y adquisici\u00f3n, ambas partes quieren seguir siendo independientes.<\/p>\n<p>Se trata de poner a prueba un nuevo modelo de asociaci\u00f3n, en el que la empresa conjunta se limita a realizar pruebas y desarrollos preliminares, prosigue el informe. Y Para Nio, se trata del \u00faltimo intento de integraci\u00f3n progresiva de las c\u00e9lulas de las bater\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>En julio, el mismo portal ya hab\u00eda informado sobre Nio y su aplazamiento de la producci\u00f3n propia. Dec\u00eda que, al parecer, Nio se estaba volviendo m\u00e1s prudente a la hora de invertir en nuevos proyectos en vista de las cifras de ventas relativamente bajas de sus coches el\u00e9ctricos. According to media reports, Nio was already working on 4680-format battery cells as well as lower-cost lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cells and planned to mass-produce them for Nio-branded e-cars and the new ALPS brand.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2023\/02\/24\/nio-plants-own-battery-plant-in-china\/\">February 2023<\/a>, <em>Reuters<\/em> reported that Nio was planning to build its first battery factory to produce large cylindrical cells with an annual capacity of 40 GWh next to its main production centre in Hefei, in eastern China&#8217;s Anhui province, in order to reduce its dependence on its main cell supplier CATL by producing its own cells. At a price negotiation in April 2022, Nio had to accept a significant price increase, according to earlier reports. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2023\/02\/17\/catl-could-lower-battery-prices\/\">This spring<\/a>, there were reports that CATL had offered lower prices to some manufacturers (including Nio) in exchange for their commitment to make at least 80 per cent of their battery purchases from CATL.<\/p>\n<p>The 75 and 100 kWh packs from Nio use CATL cells. The 100 kWh packs use cells with NCM chemistry. The 75 kWh packs are mixed packs: the majority are LFP cells, but some NCM cells are placed in each of the four corners of the pack to increase the performance of the battery.
