El propulsor el\u00e9ctrico tiene una potencia de 147 kW y est\u00e1 integrado en un chasis de lancha r\u00e1pida hecho a medida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para el intento de r\u00e9cord en el lago Townsend, cerca de Greensboro, el equipo Electric Speedboat hab\u00eda contratado a John Peeters, un experimentado piloto de lanchas r\u00e1pidas. Peeters alcanz\u00f3 una velocidad de 111 mph en el primer tramo, de un kil\u00f3metro. Para que el intento de r\u00e9cord fuera v\u00e1lido, tuvo que dar la vuelta a la lancha y recorrer la distancia en sentido contrario sin carga intermedia para eliminar factores como el viento o la corriente. Como lo consigui\u00f3 a 117 mph, la media dio como resultado el nuevo valor r\u00e9cord de 114 mph o 183 kph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como el \u00fanico eje de la h\u00e9lice del equipo se da\u00f1\u00f3 durante el primer intento de r\u00e9cord, se qued\u00f3 con el \u00fanico intento de r\u00e9cord de ese d\u00eda.
