According to ABB, the first ten of the 18 planned charging stations are already in operation: four Terra HPs are connected to the network at Ragn-Sells in Gothenburg, with a further six units in Ale. The eight charging stations for trucks still to be installed will follow shortly at the company’s premises in H\u00f6gbytorp. The recycler wants to use the charging parks to electrify its heavy goods transport operations. However, as the Terra HP chargers “are capable of charging more than 120 vehicles a day [\u2026] at typical daily utilization rates,” as ABB puts it, the chargers are also approved for use by third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This innovative approach is also why Ragn-Sells is receiving 45 million Swedish kronor in subsidies from the Swedish Energy Agency for installing the chargers. That is the equivalent of just under 4 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
