(DOE) ha anunciado un pr\u00e9stamo de $544 millones ($481,5 millones de principal y $62,5 millones de intereses capitalizados) a SK Siltron CCS, LLC para ampliar la fabricaci\u00f3n estadounidense de obleas de carburo de silicio (SiC) de alta calidad destinadas a la electr\u00f3nica de potencia para veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SK Siltron CSS pretende construir unas instalaciones en Bay City, Michigan, y se espera que se sit\u00fae entre los cinco principales fabricantes de obleas de SiC a nivel mundial, seg\u00fan el DOE, que espera que la inversi\u00f3n suponga un impulso para la competitividad manufacturera de Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El proyecto crear\u00e1 hasta 200 puestos de trabajo en la construcci\u00f3n en la fase de construcci\u00f3n y hasta 200 puestos de trabajo cualificados y bien remunerados en las operaciones a plena producci\u00f3n, seg\u00fan los iniciadores. De momento no se ha dado un calendario para la finalizaci\u00f3n del proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/es\/2024\/02\/23\/ee-uu-concede-prestamos-por-valor-de-mas-de-700-millones-para-plantas-de-componentes-ev\/\">principios de 2024<\/a>, SK Siltron recibi\u00f3 la aprobaci\u00f3n preliminar para el proyecto, y el director general de SK Siltron CSS, Jianwei Dong, declar\u00f3: \"Este proyecto es un paso importante para garantizar una cadena de suministro resistente y robusta en Estados Unidos, y estamos orgullosos de reforzar la fabricaci\u00f3n nacional de semiconductores\".
