An approach that Renault, for example, is currently pursuing with the electric Renault 5. The aim is to turn the vehicle into a companion – including a likeable ‘face.’ One thing is clear: the sketches echo some of the features of the ID.Life concept car that the manufacturer unveiled in 2021, such as the compact, angular basic design and the rounded headlights.

Image: Volkswagen

Image: Volkswagen

Image: Volkswagen

Volkswagen will unveil the ID.1 in full on 5 March. Nevertheless, the company promises a trend-setting preview of the upcoming entry-level electric car for “about” 20,000 euros. It is already clear from the designs published so far that the ID.1 will stand out visually from the ID.2 – or more precisely the concept car ID2.all. This can be seen above all in the differently designed front section.

VW has not yet provided any details about the technology.
