As part of this newly agreed partnership, Hubject’s ISO 15118-based Plug&Charge technology will be integrated into GES’s NextCharge platform. This will provide electric vehicle (EV) drivers in Italy and other European markets with a seamless, automated charging experience.

According to GES, its network currently includes nearly 3,000 charging stations. The roll-out of Plug&Charge functionality will be implemented gradually: “The initial deployment will focus on leading charging hardware manufacturers such as Alpitronic, Autel, and Kempower, with Ingeteam and Vestel expected to follow in the near future,” the company states.

In parallel, Hubject has announced a similar collaboration with Numocity. Based in Bangalore, the company positions itself as an eMobility provider that enables charge point operators (CPOs) to manage charging networks in over 20 countries worldwide, particularly in India, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Middle East. Here, too, Hubject’s Plug&Charge solution will be integrated into Numocity’s existing charging management platform. The partnership is set to strengthen the position of both companies ‘in key growth markets,’ as Hubject confirms.

Ravikiran Annaswamy, CEO of Numocity, comments: “In the complex, fast-evolving markets of India, APAC, and MEA, the user experience is often broken by multiple apps and payment friction. Our collaboration with Hubject solves this by deploying true Plug & Charge technology, allowing the vehicle and charger to communicate automatically for instant authentication […] By prioritizing simplicity and reliability, we are setting a new global benchmark for digital trust in these regions.”

As is well known, Hubject’s Plug&Charge solution utilises the ISO 15118 standard to ensure secure, encrypted communication between vehicles and charging infrastructure. This enables drivers to charge their vehicles automatically, without the need for apps or RFID cards at compatible charging stations.

Hubject CEO Christian Hahn states that the new partnerships demonstrate ‘how Plug&Charge technology enhances the user experience across diverse charging networks.’ He adds that the collaboration with GES supports the company’s growth in Europe’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle market. Furthermore, Hahn describes the partnership with Numocity as ‘a significant milestone for the global expansion of our Plug&Charge technology’.

“India and the Middle East are among the fastest-growing EV ecosystems in the world and are essential to our global ambitions.”

According to its own statements, Hubject now supports the world’s largest interoperable charging network, connecting over one million charge points and more than 3,000 B2B partners in over 70 countries. The Berlin-based company is also a leader in Plug&Charge technology. Additionally, Hubject describes itself as the first company in the electric vehicle sector to offer financial services to EV businesses based on its own payment licence.

hubject.com (Go Electric Stations), hubject.com (Numocity)

En primer lugar, la colaboración de Hubject con Go Electric Stations (GES): el proveedor italiano de servicios de movilidad electrónica (eMSP) opera en toda Europa.
