Domestic automakers now need to look into such technologies as a future growth engine. It will also contribute greatly to job creation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Korean Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Joo Hyung-hwan is calling on domestic carmakers to make the transition to new energy vehicles.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.koreatimes.co.kr\/www\/news\/biz\/2016\/08\/388_212135.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">koreatimes.co.kr<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-72494\" src=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/media\/2016\/08\/Ganesh-Srivats.jpg\" alt=\"Ganesh-Srivats\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" title=\"\">&#8220;We\u2019re throwing preconceived notions of auto sales out the window and starting from the ground up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tesla\u2019s vice president of North American sales, Ganesh Srivats promises an even more novel take on car sales. He also signed responsible for taking EV sales out of the usual idea of a car dealership and previously worked for Burberry.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2016\/08\/16\/tesla-retail-model-redesign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">electrek.co<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-72493\" src=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/media\/2016\/08\/Roland-Irle.jpg\" alt=\"Roland-Irle\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" title=\"\">&#8220;I wouldn\u2019t call [the BMW ad] pathetic, but the two vehicles are not comparable. Most people are scratching their head in the green car community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Roland Irle, co-founder of EV-volumes, an electric car consultancy, comments on BMW&#8217;s feeble attempts to promote the 330e PHEV as an alternative to a Tesla Model 3 in the States.
