And that is the right way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche refers to the &#8220;golf cart&#8221; image he believes had been attached to electric vehicles for years. In an interview on the sidelines of SXSW 2017, he thanked Tesla for having paved the way.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2017\/03\/24\/tesla-electric-car-granola-image-daimler-ceo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">electrek.co<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-75751\" src=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/media\/2017\/03\/Thomas-Brachmann.jpg\" alt=\"Thomas-Brachmann\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" title=\"\">&#8220;We see the smaller cars using battery power and the bigger cars using fuel-cell systems.
