And, for sure, we will also have BEV [battery electric vehicles].&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After having been present at this year&#8217;s IAA in Frankfurt, Chery CEO Anning Chen underlines the Chinese manufacturer&#8217;s ambition to enter the European market with a range of electrified models &#8211; most probably by 2019 or 2020.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-news\/new-cars\/chinese-car-maker-chery-launch-europe-all-electrified-line\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">autocar.co.uk<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-62088\" src=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/media\/2014\/11\/Hakan-Samuelsson.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" title=\"\">&#8220;I think you also have to admit that Tesla has been a stimulus or injection into this car business. They&#8217;ve made very attractive electric cars &#8230; So I think they have been inspiring us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hakan Samuelsson, CEO of Volvo Cars, does not hide his admiration for Tesla. In an interview with <em>Nikkei<\/em>, he summarises that the decision on electrification is mainly driven by customer preference &#8211; and thanks to Tesla, customers consider electric cars attractive.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/asia.nikkei.com\/Business\/Companies\/Volvo-will-go-electric-from-China?page=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">asia.nikkei.com<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Every model will be electrified, either micro-hybrid, hybrid or plug-in hybrid.
