Scotland closes first round of electric bus funding scheme
The Scottish Government has awarded over £62 million in the first phase of its Zero Emission Bus Challenge Fund (ScotZEB) to replace 276 old diesel buses with new electric buses and the necessary charging infrastructure. 137 of these electric buses will be built by ADL in Falkirk.

BYD-ADL to supply 130 electric buses for Coventry

Liverpool: ADL receives first fuel cell bus order for the H2.0
Bus builder Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) has received an order from the Liverpool City Region to deliver 20 fuel cell buses. It is the first contract for the new H2.0 generation ADL presented in March. The hydrogen bus utilises fuel cell technology from Ballard and Voith.

Ireland launches huge tender for electric double-deckers
Ireland’s national transport authority NTA published a tender for up to 800 all-electric double-decker buses for use in the country’s large cities, as well as on some town bus services. Buying is to start in the second half of 2022 over a period of five years.

Wiltshire welcomes “electric reds” – e-buses by BYD ADL
Wiltshire-based bus operator Salisbury Reds has put into service its first all-electric buses, three single decks from BYD-ADL. The total investment of £1.2M has been subsidised with £600,000 government funding following a successful submission by Wiltshire Council.

ADL wins tender to deliver up to 600 green buses to Ireland

London receives 36 BYD & ADL electric buses
The cooperation between the electric bus manufacturers BYD and ADL has completed it’s order, as 36 electric buses were delivered to public transport operator RATP Dev in London. The Enviro200 EV electric buses, including infrastructure, were ordered in 2017.

BYD presents mobile charging station for electric buses
China’s leading bus maker BYD and their British partner Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) presented a new version of their Enviro200EV electric bus at the Euro Bus Expo in Birmingham. The 10 metre electric vehicle features an extra space big enough to fit a wheelchair but also a mobile charging station.
