Oil company Eneos buys in to NEC’s charging network
Japan’s largest oil company Eneos (formerly Nippon Oil), is hooking on to the charging infrastructure business. They just acquired 4,600 AC chargers from electronics company NEC to operate at supermarkets, shopping malls and other facilities in Japan.

ZipCharge reveals mobile charging hub
London-based EV charging startup ZipCharge has revealed the GoHub, a portable EV charging station for shared, public use. The company claims it allows for significantly cheaper charging and installation than conventional fixed charging points.

Tesla offers less for more
Tesla will no longer supply Mobile Connector with the delivery of its electric cars in the USA, earning criticism from the Tesla community. The Mobile Connector, which enables slow charging without a special infrastructure at normal sockets will now be sold separately.

Kansas City trials streetlight EV charging posts
In the USA, Kansas City, Missouri has launched a pilot project to install public Level 2 EV charging stations on light poles. By the end of this year, the Metropolitan Energy Center (MEC) plans to have 30 to 60 chargers in place throughout the city.

Wien Energie installs 1,000 charge points in Vienna
Austrian utility Wien Energie has completed the largest roll-out of public charge points in Vienna to date. On behalf of the City of Vienna, the company has been expanding the charging network to 1,000 stations over more than three years.
