Northern Ireland spends £100m on clean buses
In two separate projects, the government of Northern Ireland has invested more than £100m in its zero-emission bus fleet. Already as part of this scheme, 80 battery-electric Wrightbus buses purchased by Translink have just been unveiled.

Île-de-France Mobilités: bendy e-buses for Paris
Île-de-France Mobilités, the entity responsible for organising public transport in the Paris metropolitan area, is awarding a contract to a consortium of Van Hool, Kiepe Electric and Alstom to build a fleet of 24-metre-long, all-electric, double-articulated buses.

Mumbai invites tenders for 1,900 electric buses
Mumbai’s transport authority BEST has invited tenders for 1,900 fully electric buses for Mumbai. BEST, with a present fleet of 386 electric buses, plans to complete procuring these additional buses by mid-2023.

Rotterdam gets funding for 208 e-buses
The European Investment Bank has granted a loan of 115 million euros to public transport operator RET in Rotterdam. RET will primarily be using these funds to purchase 105 electric and 103 hybrid buses, along with the associated charging infrastructure.
