Chevy Bolt owners can get some money back, but at a price
Chevrolet had reduced the price of its Bolt EV by up to $6,000 in the US this summer. Jalopnik reports that owners who bought their Bolt before the price cut took effect are now also being offered said credit. However, existing owners should read the fine print carefully.

General Motors slow on the (electric) takeup
General Motors has some ambitious plans to ramp up production of electric vehicles. At present, however, there is not much to be seen of this: GM delivered just 457 electric vehicles in the US in Q1 2022.

GM declares Bolt battery problems solved
The long-running battery problems with the Chevrolet Bolt have finally been resolved, according to General Motors. Production of the batteries has resumed, according to the company. Battery modules to replace defective ones should be available from October.

General Motors reveal new battery system and platform
At an “EV Day” for investors, General Motors CEO Mary Barra presented an overview of the Group’s ambitious electric strategy. At the heart of the strategy is the third-generation new platform involving a modular battery system called Ultium. The platform should base the spectrum of electric vehicles from hatchbacks to pickups, SUVs and commercial vehicles.
