USA: Ryder orders 4,000 BrightDrop EVs
The General Motors brand BrightDrop has secured another major order for its electric transporters. Ryder, a US commercial vehicle fleet management company, plans to introduce 4,000 BrightDrop Zevo 600s and Zevo 400s to its fleet by 2025.

CA: Courier Purolator to spend CA$1 bn to decarbonize operations
Purolator, a courier service owned by Canada Post, will invest one billion Canadian dollars in decarbonising its fleet within the decade. This includes the purchase of more than 3,500 fully electric last-mile delivery vehicles and the electrification of more than 60 terminals.

BrightDrop begins manufacturing electric transporter vans in Canada
The General Motors brand BrightDrop now also produces electric vans in Canada. Following the conversion of the plant in Ingersoll, the Zevo 600 will be produced there with immediate effect and the Zevo 400 from the end of 2023. BrightDrop also presents its first Canadian launch customer: DHL Express Canada.

GM prepares for electric van production in Canada
General Motors will start producing electric vans at its plant in Ingersoll, Canada, later this year. Construction of the BrightDrop electric van is scheduled to begin there at the end of December. Light pickup production and a third shift will be introduced at the Oshawa assembly plant.
