BMW installed 4,350 charging points to date
The BMW Group has already exceeded its 2019 target of installing around 4,100 charging points at its German locations by the end of 2021. Together with its partner Eon, around 4,350 charging points have been installed to date.
Tesla reveals details on opening Superchargers
During the Tesla earnings call last night, the company also provided details on the planned opening of the Supercharger network to third parties. Central to the idea is the Tesla app to facilitate drivers of electric cars from other manufacturers to supercharge.

The Volkswagen Group is planning a proprietary charging network throughout Europe, Spiegel magazine claims, citing circles around Audi’s project Artemis. It looks like initially, only Audi drivers would benefit from the hi-tech network with Porsche clients to follow.
Roaming North America via ChargePoint & FLO networks
ChargePoint is making good on their promise to grow their charging network. They do so through cooperation and their latest partner is FLO. The two networks together enable electric car drivers to roam in the USA and Canada using 33,000 public charge points.
Sweden: InCharge by Vattenfall at Renault & Volvo
Vattenfall is expanding its electric car charging network InCharge in its home country. A new deal with Volvo and Renault includes the installation of 300 charging stations at dealerships next to Tanka pit stops in Sweden and Vattenfall says construction works have begun already.
Audi maps Ionity’s ultra-charging network across Europe
Audi took the occasion of the Nordic EV Summit in Oslo to map out all 400 planned stations of the high-power-charging network Ionity. Set up by mayor carmakers, they started work on the first 20 stations last year and plan to hit a total of 100 stations in 2018.
