Shell keeps accelerating its “green buying” attempts as the oil and gas corporation acquires another US charging business. Volta Charging and its entire network of existing and planned charge points now belong to Shell for $169 mn.

Volkswagen: Access to charge points via Elli doubles
Volkswagen AG and its energy brand Elli have announced a milestone – Elli now claims to operate 400,000 charge points in partnership with over 800 providers in 27 countries. Over the past 18 months, the network has doubled in size.

JLR UK signs up to Plugsurfing service
Jaguar Land Rover UK has partnered with Plugsurfing to offer JLR customers access to the charging network. Jaguar Charging and Land Rover Charging clients can now charge at over 300,000 charging points stretching across 27 countries and integrating 700 separate CPOs.

DKV Mobility integrates 285k charge points in the app
DKV Mobility, a B2B platform for on-the-road payments, now offers access to around 285,000 public and semi-public charge points across Europe. They integrated all charge points into the company app that many drivers know from fuel card services.

Spirii & PowerGo want to install 15,000 charging stations by 2024
PowerGo, a subsidiary of the Dutch solar company Powerfield, cooperates with the charging platform Spirii to build a large charging network for electric cars in Europe. They plan to install 15,000 charging points in at least seven designated countries within the next two years.

Electric Circuit and ChargePoint agree roaming deal
The Electric Circuit, a Canadian EV charging network, and US-based ChargePoint have made a roaming deal. Electric Circuit members will get access to an additional 40,000 charging stations while ChargePoint members will be able to access all 3,300 Electric Circuit charging stations in Canada.

Stellantis to install 15,000 EV charging hubs across Europe
Stellantis is developing a European charging network for electric cars in cooperation with the Italian company The F Charging. Plans now announced comprise more than 15,000 locations with a total of two million parking spaces by 2025. The roll-out is to begin soon.

Total takes over Singapore charging network Blue Charge
France’s petrochemical company Total, which now likes to be known as TotalEnergies, has scored an e-mobility deal in Singapore. Its compatriot Bolloré will hand over what it claims to be the largest EV charging network in the city-state, Blue Charge.

BMW installed 4,350 charging points to date

Canada: Electric Circuit charging network expanding
The EV charging network spanning Québec is receiving another extension. Hydro-Québec ordered 50 kW fast-charging stations from AddEnergie to widen the Electric Circuit. It is the fourth successful bid for the local charging equipment provider.

Sweden: InCharge by Vattenfall at Renault & Volvo
Vattenfall is expanding its electric car charging network InCharge in its home country. A new deal with Volvo and Renault includes the installation of 300 charging stations at dealerships next to Tanka pit stops in Sweden and Vattenfall says construction works have begun already.

Audi maps Ionity’s ultra-charging network across Europe
Audi took the occasion of the Nordic EV Summit in Oslo to map out all 400 planned stations of the high-power-charging network Ionity. Set up by mayor carmakers, they started work on the first 20 stations last year and plan to hit a total of 100 stations in 2018.
