Tariff changes at Mercedes Me Charge
Mercedes-Benz will adjust charging rates for its Mercedes Me Charge service from 01 March, mostly upwards. Among other things, charging at Ionity high-power station will get significantly more expensive in two of the three tariffs.

The African fintech company Moove has launched Moove Charge in London. The service made for Uber drivers relies on technology by Paua, a roaming provider specialising in UK fleets. Moove Charge is to provide access to 6,600 charge points across the British capital.

Lucid Motors offers drivers to charge for free in Canada
Lucid Motors announced opening a new Studio in Toronto. It is the company’s second outlet in Canada and 23rd in its growing North American retail network. The company expects to begin Canadian deliveries of the Lucid Air in Spring 2022. There’s also good news on cooperation with Electrify America.

BP Pulse opens ultra-rapid charge stop at Gatwick Airport
Through its subsidiary BP Pulse, Britain’s oil company BP has opened its latest new electric vehicle charging hub at Gatwick airport near London. The HPC columns currently deliver 150 kW, but BP says new hardware will upgrade these units to deliver 300 kW in future.

Audi High Power Charging Hub now live in Nuremberg
Audi has inaugurated its first charging hub at the exhibition centre in Nuremberg, Germany. The carmaker’s concept relies on battery buffers to deliver ultra-rapid charging using a standard low-voltage connection and also offers an extended lounge area.

Ovo Energy launches flat rate EV charging tariff in the UK
Energy provider Ovo just rolled out a new tariff providing a flat rate to drivers charging electric vehicles. The company says this would bring down charging costs to roughly £100 a year at a guaranteed flat rate of 5p per kWh for charging at all times of the day.

BMW points for PHEVs driving electric in the UK

VW’s Electrify America strike a deal with Mercedes USA

NewMotion signs V2X agreement with Amsterdam
NewMotion has signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the EVS32 with the City of Amsterdam, and a number of other public and private companies to develop Vehicle-to-Anything (V2X) technology. The partners are planning the commercial introduction of V2X technologies in projects linking electric vehicles with energy systems in the Amsterdam area.

PSA adds options for electric car drivers to Free2Move
