HPC corridor for trucks developing in California
The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and Calstart have received $13 million from the California Energy Commission (CEC) to “jump-start” a high-power charging (HPC) corridor for medium- and heavy-duty electric trucks in California.

Covenant Logistics goes for 50 Nikola-Tre trucks
The Covenant Logistics Group, based in Chattanooga in the US state of Tennessee, wants to procure ten battery-electric examples as well as 40 vehicles of the fuel cell variant of the Nikola Tre truck model. So far, this is a letter of intent subject to successful test deployment.

Ferronordic orders 32 electric trucks
Ferronordic, a service and distribution company in the construction equipment and truck sectors, has placed its first order for electric trucks in Germany. The order includes 21 Renault Trucks D Z.E and D Wide Z.E and eleven Volvo FL and Volvo FE Electric, making a total of 32 all-electric trucks.

BYD supplies Grupo Modelo with e-trucks in Mexico
BYD has delivered 20 21-ton electric trucks to Mexican beer maker Grupo Modelo. The Mexican beer maker has already ordered another 20 electric trucks from BYD and says it plans to add a total of 500 electric trucks to its fleet over the next two years. BYD will also supply the company with electric forklifts.

TDS orders 10 BYD e-trucks in the Netherlands
BYD has been given an order for the delivery of ten ETM6 electric trucks from Top Delivery Services (TDS). The vehicles will be used in logistics for Ikea in Amsterdam. The deal was made through BYD’s newly appointed electric truck dealer Bluekens EV.

Janus Electric & Li-S Energy collaborate on batteries
In Australia, battery developer Li-S Energy has signed a collaboration agreement with electric truck developer Janus Electric to power around 400 electric trucks. Renault offers more battery options for electric trucks
Renault Trucks has announced new battery options for its all-electric D Z.E. (16-tonne) and D Wide Z.E. (26-tonne) truck models. The trucks previously equipped with 50 kWh modules can now be ordered with 66 kWh modules. With the Master Z.E. electric van, the battery remains the same, but the payload is optionally increased.
