Strasbourg orders 60 hydrogen buses from CaetanoBus
Strasbourg public transport operator CTS (Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois) has signed a framework contract with Portuguese bus manufacturer CaetanoBus for the delivery of up to 60 hydrogen buses over the next five years.

Dundee scraps hydrogen fuel cell buses
The Scottish city of Dundee has scrapped a project that would have seen twelve hydrogen fuel cell buses joining public transport. The Council said it needed the cash elsewhere since costs had gone up, for example, in construction, so hydrogen became “less of a priority”.

Loop Energy supplies fuel cells for M&I hydrogen city buses
Loop Energy has announced a deal with the Slovakian bus maker Mobility & Innovation (M&I). The company has ordered another ten fuel cell systems to keep up with demand for its hydrogen city bus. For Loop Energy, this is the second scale-up with a manufacturer in the last few months.

Solaris signs new agreement for buses in Austria
Solaris has signed another framework agreement with the Austrian transport authority, Österreichische Postbus AG. This covers battery-electric and hydrogen-electric buses that the Austrian bus operator intends to procure between 2022 and 2025.

Loop Energy, a Canadian company specialising in fuel cell systems for commercial vehicles, announces its first deal in South Korea. NGVI, a well-connected local manufacturer of hydrogen buses, has opted for Loop’s eFlow fuel cell platform.

Belgium’s Van Hool receives largest H2 bus order in Europe
The German cities of Cologne and Wuppertal have ordered a total of 40 hydrogen buses from Belgian Van Hool. Deliveries are to start in spring 2019. Cologne will receive 30 H2 buses with Wuppertal taking the remaining ten. The order is part of the EU JIVE project.
